Hi Guys
I am a small blogger and i mostly blog about open source and php scripts and customizations on my blog at www.phpcafe.net/blog/
I have recently made my blog DoFollow and have created a basic Comment Policy .
What I would like to know is if this is the way it should be ... or does this go against the DoFollow ideology .

Regards
Arindra

Checking with do-follow bloggers at these sites may be helpful:
    www.dofollow.us
    www.dofollowdirectory.com

There are also do-follow blogs at BC www.blogcatalog.com/tag/dofollow/
This BC member published a post on the subject of do follow blogging last week that may be useful to you kikolani.com/dofollow.html

I think you should worry more about providing useful content, rather than something superficial like whether your outbound links have a special tag on them.

But make sure you are moderating comments, because sometimes people pick up on the 'dofollow' thing and try to leave inane comments in hopes of getting a backlink.

I know someone who changed his blog to do-follow and started to blog for payperpost. The result was his blog's PageRank fell from 4/10 to 0/10.

Thanks both for your replies. I do wish to moderate comments, which is why i defined a comment policy . Hence my question .

Moderate comments and check if those comments are relevant to the topic itself.

Having a comments policy and having dofollow (or nofollow) are two separate issues, you can have one, the other both or neither at your pleasure.

Though, I really think nofollow/dofollow are headed the way of the dodo.
