Do kids effect your travel plans?

I always hear from my friends that the holiday was ruined by the kid or kids. Do they really effect your holidays?

Or do you just leave them with relatives and enjoy your long deserved holiday?

They don't ruin my traveling however they do triple the price since they are above the age of 2 I have to pay full adult fare for them. So if I am going to Ireland a 1200 trip becomes a 3600 trip just in airfare

No and if they try to ruin things, I simply shove them in the trunk.

  now I wonder if maybe I could apply the same logic and just check them at baggage They are under the weight limit for carry on and checked baggage... hmmmmmmm the possibilities hahahaha

  Never thought of that, maybe I should recommend this to my friends as they keep whining about costs and the humiliation... hmmm.

  I also only get hotels with a balcony. When the kids start acting up, I lock them out there. I've had many peaceful night's sleep that way.

If you leave them enough food and the cat flap open surely that is good enough?

  I don't see why not. Maybe one of those doggy water dispensers and you'll need a time regulated auto feeder otherwise they'll eat it all the first hour.

No I just take one vacation a year with out them. I tell them I am going to a nudist colony and they do not ask to come.
