Women have always been told that our hair is our crown and glory. Even in the media it is highly suggested that women with longer hair are deemed "more desirable" (the longer, the better). But on the other hand you see short-haired cuties like Charlize Theron, Halle Berry (back in the day), and now Rihanna who are just as beautiful with short hair. So what do you think? Do men really think long hair or short hair is sexier or more desirable on a women?

Being a very ugly man, I would have to say I like a woman with short manly hair beacause these are the women that don't find me as sickly as the more made up bitche...ladies..wome...girls.

The jig is up. I nominated you as the sexiest BC member. And, if the rest of the ladies had been in their right minds then you would have won hands down.

I wore my hair long and I do mean uncut for many years. When I had an accident and could no longer bear the weight on my damaged neck I cut my hair. I was filled with trepidation because I was known for my hair and because my partner loved it. I secretly loved my new short hair and it took a week before I saw anyone other than my husband who said he loved it (he could have just been making sure he got laid), but lo and behold everyone remarked that short hair suited me.-
Interesting parallel: My hair is baby fine, straight as a stick and difficult to manage. I grew it long so I could put it in a low ponytail or a braid and keep it out of my face. And I mean LONG...nearly to my waist.
Three years ago I was the victim on a home invasion robbery. During the course of the robbery, one of the perps attempted to scare me, with one of my big kitchen knives, into giving him the combination to the safe (I didn't know it). He grabbed a big handful of hair on the right side of my head and sawed it off with the knife.
I went to the hairdresser the next day and she cut my hair all the way around to even it up and styled it into a short bob. Much to my surprise, not only did I like it, but my husband and friends!
I've let it get a little longer (to chin length) but still wear it in that bob and it turns out to be easier to manage than the old length!

I prefer short to medium length, but most of all I don't like when every hair is in place or the "helmet head" look. I love the messed up look!

I completely agree. You just gotta do you. Ok, so here's another question to the ladies. Would you ever NOT cut your hair b/c... say... a boyfriend or "significant other" didn't want you to?-
I don't think I'd put myself in a relationship that required me to remain static with regards to hair length. That said, I have a lot of long hair. A SO's request to not cut my hair would go unheeded. If someday I feel adventourous again and want a shorter style, no one could stop me... nor would I want to be with someone who cared that much about my hair length. I actually am not entirely impressed with how attached I am to one of my biggest trademarks... my abundant hair. I don't know if I'd want someone else to be more attached to it than me.

I'm getting married next year and growing my hair for the wedding....is that a mistake? I'm confused now.

now that you have made public, will we get an invitation to the wedding.
how about bridal shower? who is the lucky man.
It is your hair, do what you like with it. In a marriage, they (men) expect us to wear it long or short for them to see but we still have to manage it ourselves.
If he has always noticed your hair, he may just like it the way you are now. I had long hair when I met my husband. Till now, he prefer me not to cut it.

I love them both. Theres just something I like about Short Hair. It's very sexy but so is long hair. As PQ said, It really does depend on how the woman carries herself. If you have long hair that smells like smoke and my hand gets tangled in your hair, Not a turn on. If your short haircut makes you look like you have a thicker mustache than me, That also might be a turnoff.
