Often parents over burden their kids with whole lot of expectations.Is it justified?Is a childhood lost among this.

    Yes...check out my comment made on your post. I reckon majority of the parents do burden their kids with expectations about marks to what career path they should choose. My parents did have expectations about marks, but fortunately, they didn't try to force me or my sister into a career path. We both chose what we were passionate about and are happy about our decisions so far. And our parents have supported us all the way.

    Take it easy, give them whatever necessary.
    Help to observe and develop their interest fully, that's good.
    Need not expect too much, just be a responsible and lovely parent.

    My expectations do not really matter.
    But their expectations sure really matter for me.

    there are parents who burden on their expectation. There is nothing wrong to have some expectation as long it has something to do with your kids interest. As parent i would rather emphasize on progress instead of results or achievement.
