      Same here.

My answer is the same as ModelElaine

I use both ways, it always depends on what I am writing about.

Both. I have involved myself in a lot of community service so, a lot of it I don't need to research.

depends on the topic. if its about me, i just let it flowwwww...

I don't because I am too lazy to do that. Which is why I put up a personal blog. It gives me plenty of room to be inaccurate and unreliable. I could be a complete liar and not be accountable for the mess I make. Hahahaha... (Good to see you again, my friend)

Absolutely, definitely, thoroughly and much of my own experiences goes into those posts.
Edit - even my interviews, I research on those I interviewed.

Mostly on my music blogs to get years of the songs.

Sometimes but it just depends on what I'm writing about.

It depends on what it is. If I am writing complete opinion I have all the research I need. As I often write about what others have said or is in the news and quote the sources I got my information from I at the very least read that source, which constitutes minimal research in my opinion. For most of my posts even if I only quote one source I often have read three or four articles on the subject before or during my writing.

I have yet to write a music review without actually listening to the music. I know a few bloggers who do just that. They don't have the music so they talk up some buzz on an unreleased album which puts them high in the search ratings up until the time everyone else actually listens to the music and blogs on it. I on the other hand am lucky enough to get a lot of early release promo copies so I don't have to worry about that.

(Does anyone want to hear more than the title track off Chinese Democracy? I know some of you closet GnR fans do.)

anything that i feel needs a link, gets a link. other than that, i usually write off the cuff.

    Depends on the topic.

It depends, if i am having a rant (as per usual) then it will be based on my experiences and wont need much.

If its for another, more serious one then i will research what is needed.

research is an experience. So yes, it is still just based off of my experience.

I never research, unless i need to add a source. It's the skimming off the top of my head and just down right boring...

I always research and then add links to my sources at the bottom of my posts. I write about history so researching is crucial and lets people know I'm not just making stuff up.
  17. lvs
i research because my experience is limited in most cases.

I always research and confirm what I write. For me it is a credibility issue. OK, maybe it is an ego thing. I don't want anyone to say, "Rob you screwed up." That would hurt my feelings.
  19. Profitimo
it depends on the topic, and how deep im going to delve into it. but normally i research as i go about writing my blog.

Nope,I just write light thing in my blog. Nothing is very serious really. so I just sit in front of the computer and write it down.
