If you're referring to the post that turned up on Digg a few hours ago, then yeah, those houses are kinda scary.

Do I believe in the paranormal? Nope. There's no actual proof still to this day, that includes frauds like Jon Edward all the way up to Ghost Hunters and old outdated hoaxes like Roswell.

You'd think that with James Randi putting up a million dollars of his own money as a reward to anyone who can pass the test of demonstrating paranormal activity, that someone would have made it past the preliminary test by now. No luck though.

Seeing ghosts though..That's the brain using trickery, delusions, seeing shadows and hearing a bird, on and on. It happens in many forms and it's a huge money making industry that everyone is trying to cash in on.

It's all a scam. Prove me wrong.
    1. footiam
No, wasn't refering to that. Posted this question at dhammadelight.blogspot.com and decided to see what the folks over here think. There is no proof on a lot of thing but people still believe in it.oh! My God ! For instance.

    Is a ghost exist?
Hell yes, why? cuz' the opposite rules = black X white, tall X short, night X day, exist X non exist... so, if someone saying that ghost is not exist, you know the opposite to that

    Have i ever seen one?
    yes

    Do i fear them?
no, I fear of house thief, rapist, killer more than to an earthbound spirit

    Need a prove?
come visit me, i'll open your inner 6th sense, we'll go ghost hunting together...
    ha ha ha...
    1. dreesyach
Ho yeah? Miss ghost buster.. :hehe:
  3. wilbau
No, I don't 'believe' in ghosts. No, I do not fear them.

Another question in this context could be:

    Can you 'sense' ghosts?

    Or:

Is it possible for abstract formula to gain a life on it's own?
  4. kdawg68
Have I seen them? Yes. In two instances that I've discussed at length before although I prefer to keep them private since folks rightly tend to think you're a bit mad when you make such claims.

Do I fear them? Not usually. I have felt the presence of what I think was a spirit that was less than friendly, and was most definitely scared, but the two that I've "seen" were family members and to be honest I don't think it was mentally/emotionally possible to experience fear in their presence.
  5. Pentad
    I sense...stuff...
  6. shash
yes, i do believe in ghosts but have not seen yet
    1. footiam
      That's faith!
  7. webrunner
Nope, humans minds are weak and easily influenced.
  8. freeatlast
I have a difficult time believing in something that can't be proven. That said, I believe that all of our cells, and the stuff that makes up all matter, maybe have a mind of their own... and when things fall apart or die, the memory in our cellular body and world, may or may not dissipate and relax as completely as we would like. This is not to say that ghosts exist, but energy exists in everything, and the vibration of the atoms are barely understood scientifically.

I also believe our minds play tricks on us, and some people have a very vivid imagination. We all are psychic, some just have a easier time tapping into the collective consciousness than others. And present and past life/matter is part of the collective consciousness.

    huh?
  9. RobertDi
Yes and I have seen them
    1. footiam
Oh! I wish you tell more!
  10. mlinauer
    Believe in ghosts? No
    Seen a ghost? no
    Do I fear ghosts? no

There are some who believe that ghosts are actually demons.
  11. happyfoodgirl
YES I DO! I found a sheet on the floor, so I kicked it! I must have killed it, because it didn't move after that.
  12. ranjith143
i beleive god not ghost (ofcourse i feard of it when i was at child ages)
  13. GratciaNulis
I know ghost exist, but they don't scare me, but human does...
  14. anneberly
I believe in life after death. Ghost that scares you is a state of mind. Ghost can never hurt you.
  15. lordlikely
I believe in spirits, most definitely.

    Especially the alcoholic kind.
    1. footiam
      Holy Spirit!
  16. Funked
I've seen 2 ghosts. The first time I was combing my hair and a face appeared behind me.

The 2nd time I was kicking a ballon in front room and a large brown shadow walked past my kitchen door.

    Not fun.
  17. morgantj
of course I do not believe in ghosts. It's all rubbish.
    1. footiam

I had some experiences, when I was younger and super super sensitive; picking up on aura's, feelings, moods et cetera of people. My family, two nurses and a clinician were at my grannies mansion when she was about pass.. she said in her last minutes: Darling, I'm ready to see you ; apparently talking to my grand daddy. We were in the den where she was in a bed next to the kitchen. She had no pets and all the people in the house were in the same room. When she called for my grand daddy; suddenly all the cabinet doors in the kitchen started to open and close. The pots and dishes fell and we saw in the den the curtains opened by itself. She passed and then all became quiet. The clinician ran away, the nurses were shaking and my family and I just remain calm and thought: she finally was united with my grand daddy. So do I believe in ghosts- not necessarily but I believe what I saw with nine other people as witnesses.
  20. Anok
Yup, I believe in ghosts, or something like ghosts.
    1. footiam
      Have you seen one, Iwonder?
  21. filmasia

    1. footiam
I bet you have seen shutter or Nang Nak!
  22. exinco
ghost is illusion. sometimes i'm a real ghost.
  23. wehireu
I think there are memories associated with certain places. I think if there are strong enough associations about certain places we can see things which aren't there.
    1. chrissymarie321
Or perhaps they are there and normally we screen them out ;-)
  24. geographer
    yes, my headmaster
  25. thefly
Funny you should ask. I just posted up a story about a strange ghostly visit I had just a couple of days ago. Read it if you want.

Any type of "Ghosts" people refer to are wicked lower entities. You can check out this link for more information on this subject.

    clearlyenlight.blogspot.com/2008/06/spirit-world-lower-entities.html

They are alive, invisible to the human eye and Wicked.
  27. mish
I had a ghost experience as a child. Twice, actually. I laugh at the thought of it though. Somehow, I believe but not totally.
  28. achuna
    I strongly believe
  29. LGramlich
No & I highly recommend that believers & nonbelievers alike read Ronald K. Siegel's "Fire in the Brain; Clinical Tales of Hallucination."
  30. UFOBlogger
Check this story about real humanoid published on Coast to Coast

    www.ufoblogger.blogspot.com/2008/06/transparent-humanoid-in-veracruz.html
    1. LGramlich
Anything published or broadcast on "Coast to Coast" is particularly worthy of the trash bin.
    2. Theresa111
Coast to Coast and the original host, Art Bell, is one of my favorite radio programs. I have not listened in such a while. Thanks for reminding me. www.artbell.com
  31. latinocool79
Yeah, I am not sure it was a "ghost" or "demon" (as a representation of my greatgrandma) But she entered my room and I felt a rush and was terrified. I was on my bed and turned and saw her. She was like transparent. I tried to shout but I was so scared I couldn't say a word. Then I truned again and she looked at me and got close putting her finger on her lips and said "SHHH" So then I was so scared that I said "Christ help me, In jesus' name please go away" and She left.
  32. slurmsMcKenzie
I want to!!! Then I'll know theres something else...
    1. Theresa111
Of course there is something else. You do not really believe, looking around you, that all of this was orchestrated just for the here and now. It is a prelude to ... more to come.
  33. DVS
    I see dead people.
    1. Theresa111
      They see you also.
  34. braincatcher
Anyone tried spirit of the glass? It's actually moving! And what is the explanation to this? Telekinesis?
    1. footiam
      Ghost?
  35. Theresa111
I saw them as a child. I feel them more than seeing them, present day. By the way, I bet they would appreciate a more friendly and non-scary title. No I have no reason to fear them and I will add that I have not thrown down the gauntlet, per se.
    1. footiam
Seeing them since young perhaps makes them ordinary.
  36. Hangingonahyphen
I do. I had personally experienced it.
My two short stories are based
    on real paranormal incidents.

Have to say, yes, I believe ghosts are possible. Have felt a shoulder tap more than once.

    Hugs, JJ
  38. farangrakthai
I don't but Thai people sure do, all of them, and sometimes they get me a bit confused. I never saw any ghost but I sure saw one of our employees getting "possessed" by one in a religious ceremony and suddenly losing consciousness and speaking a language she was not supposed to know. And the Thais seemed to find that normal. Well, I guess I'm still not Thai enough to find it "normal"...
    1. footiam
It's not just the Thai who believe in ghosts. If you watch movies like Ghost or Amityville Horror , you will think that Americans do believe too.
  39. siralmo
No. it's just a combination of circumstance and fear
  40. acousticguitarist
I'm currently searching the Lower astral for a particular person called Brother Pascal. If you see him tell him there's a few men that would like to have a bit of a chat with him.
    1. siralmo
does he go by any other name??
    2. acousticguitarist
Yeah, Franciscan Brother that likes altar boys.

But I'm wanting a list of priest names from him

Died 1994, could be a while before he gets to heaven.
    3. Theresa111
By letting go of this hurt, you free yourself. Don't carry it around and let it taint your present. Blessings to you my friend.
  41. footiam
Most probably, I'll run if I see this brother you are looking for!
  42. creemos
A spirit world? Yes. Fear them? No.
  43. arilestariono
yes. no i don't fear them
  44. Theresa111
Ghost is a scary word. Ethereal life? Yes. Fear them? No. they are the same as we only without the worn out body. On another note. I sure hope they have night clubs in heaven.
  45. Sebastyne
Yes, I believe, and I don't exactly fear them, but I would rather not be proven to be correct about their existence, if you know what I mean.
  46. Lovellia
I believe in their existence. I want to see a real ghost. I haven't seen one. But those people around me who are scared of ghost get to see them. Am I freaking them out, I mean the ghosts.
    1. footiam
      You are freaking me!
  47. theresak
Yes ghosts really do exist. My dead grandmother used to rock back and forth on our living room rocking chair for years. Scared the crap out of me! To this day, I can't go into old houses...they creep me out!
  48. onceafortnight
Yep - too many brushes with them
  49. archiegottlieb
