Do you believe in ghosts?

Just curious:
Do you believe ghosts exist? Have you ever seen one?
I don't NOT believe in them but I have never ever experienced anything.

I don't but my wife and all Thais sure believe in them. And I have to say a few things happening in this country sometimes defy any logical explanation.
I was recently at the Grand Opening of our new factory in Thailand and we invited Thai monks as well as Indian priests to bless the event.
During the ceremony, the Indian priests were reciting their prayers and one of our secretary just blanked out. And started to behave like an Indian priest, reciting prayers in old Hindi. It lasted about 15 minutes and she fainted again. When she woke up, the only thing she remembered was that when the Indian priest started talking, she saw a bright light coming to her and does not remember anything afterwards. She is Thai, does not know anything about India and sure does not know how to speak Hindi, but she did. Well, I have no explanation so far...-
that is a very interesting story. -
Wow, that is strange. I was once on the phone with someone who supposedly started speaking in tongues during a seance. He was joking about his sister doing a seance in the other room and then he got quiet, started speaking in tongues and dropped the phone. When he called me back he was crying and didn't remember the tongues, but remembered feeling ill.
I was always skeptical but you never know. And to this day he still swears it happened.
That whole speaking in tongue thing scares me more than actual ghosts I think.

Yes. Ghosts are true and I had personally experienced them. Of course I'm scared as hell. I have written a few blogs on the subject which I hope you might be interested to know. Like this one:

I dont know Ghost exists or not, but I have experienced the existence of GOD. I remember, When I was 9 years old I experience the existence of GOD krishna, on that day It was raining heavilly and on that raining day I saw GOD Krishan........
If God Exist than Ghost also exist. because in opposite of Good there is bad..........-
This is ludicrous because it presupposes an absolute quantitative value on what is good that is accepted by all and easily provable. -
There is ZERO proof of any spiritual entities...only old texts.

@Mark That makes another part of my point if they are using those sources to decide good evil and the existence of mythic creatures they have to accept them all with equal validity to make any of them valid...

You don't believe until you experience "them". That's how I was before and it's natural.

Although I haven't seen or felt their presence (I have close family and friends who have experienced such things), I believe that the energy of those who have passed stays here on earth. I think some people have a sixth sense and can see and feel this energy, I'm just not one of them...yet. -
Just last weekend, we had a few of my daughters friends over and one of them has a EVP recorder. Any recording device will do really but a EVP has extra features. You can't hear a spirit or ghost speaking by ear but you can in this device. You can do a search for it like I did because I was kind of disbelieving of it. Also by using a camera you can catch things that you can't see by eye.
I also heard other recordings that he had done; very fascinating.
Anyway we caught words with the recorder in answer to our questions and got a few pictures that couldn't be explained any other way.
It was very interesting and I would love to do it again but my daughter was scared and didn't sleep well that night ;-)-

In the past, people attributed lightning and other natural phenomenon to the wrath of gods. I have to admit - I would too if I didn't know any better. I think there's a natural explanation for most of these experiences - not limited to people actively looking for this and attributing every creak or flicker to evidence of something. That show "TAPS" has it in their best interest to 'find things' otherwise....well, they wouldn't have a show. I'm not totally stubborn or anything - I'll be the first to use a Ouija board and do Bloody Mary's in the bathroom to see what happens. The evil spirits seriously don't want to chill with me. Open invitation here. Also, our version of reality takes place in our minds - our mind can def. play tricks on us.

I believe some places act like natural "cameras" and can record strong emotions that sensitive people can then pick up. -

yes i do, cause my cousine brother was having shadow of two or three souls in him, he was uncontrollable and he was having so much power in him that we 5 guys werenot able to handle him -
Very interesting topic.Well,personally i believe in spirits as i would like to call them.Have experienced them & sure do know and believe they exist.Ok,suddenly the goose bumps have started appearing.

I believe in ghosts, but I haven't SEEN them. I have felt them, and some weird stuff has happened in places I believe they have been in. However, I know people who see them all the time, including my grand mother, who talked to her dead mother frequently before she, herself, passed. -
I am very open minded, and although I have never had an encounter with a spirit, I believe they exist. I kind of want to experience something with ghosts or spirits, but then again, maybe no... -

I do, not really sure I'd call them ghosts though. When my mom first died I used to swear I would see her at the edge of my bed, but again it was probably a mental coping skill of a nine year old who experienced a violent crime.
I do believe that there is something, there are far too many people who have experienced "something" for there to be no validity. Those who claim it come from all cultures and all walks of life, it is my belief that the sensing of such energies is part of the 92% of our brains that we typically do not use. -

When a blurry entity is unexplained, it is sometimes labelled as a ghost. I believe souls can become disembodied or earthbound spirits. They may take obscure forms. Some people believe ghosts are destined to wander among or haunt the living. Sometimes ghosts are simply lost or confused about their new energy form. -
if you think that ghosts exist you have to believe in UFO, in life after death, in Santa Claus, in leprechauns etc.-
You can always spot a close minded individual because usually their statements make no sense whatsoever.

I once shared an old, old house with a whole bunch of people for a while--everybody was crammed three or four to a room, but there was a lovely room with its own bathroom in the basement where everybody was afraid to sleep because somebody died there two hundred years earlier, and it was supposed to be haunted.
So, not believing in ghosts, I got my own little suite. -
no, I don't believe in ghosts because I haven't seen one. I think they are just figments of one's imagination. that's justmy personal opinion. however, i have experienced being "visited" by a spirit twice and it just happens when someone I know recently died.
The first time was when my hubby's grandma passed away and I didn't go to herwake yet. Late that night the lights dimmed and the electric fan began to slow down until it stopped. I went near to see what's wrong when it picked up speed and started whirling again!
The latest was just this week. I was thinking of a neighbor who recently passed away after her battle with cancer for 6 years. I was in the hallway that time and just thinking about her when the two candleholders on the table made a small sound of movement. what do you think I did? I ran all the way out of the house! :-P -

I believe sometimes energy persists here on earth; maybe it can be called a ghost. I have seen them several times, and experienced a number of weird things that might have been some form of communication from another dimension. When my father died I became sort of psychic - I just know things sometimes. However, I must admit, I trust my own experiences far more than anyone else's... -

Yup, seen 'em. Although if I hadn't there's no way I'd believe in them.
