I don't believe in love at first sight, but do believe that there is lust at first sight. You cannot fall in love with a person if you don't know him or her and appearance can be deceiving... so you end up falling in love with someone you create in your mind rather than a real person. But you can desire somebody you see without knowing him or her...-
You can be in love with a person - that you don't even know EXISTS yet...

Definitely, if you put it with a different approach, let's say you went shopping for clothes and decided to buy this one dress as it's way to gorgeous, you would buy it. Let's assume that dress isa girl, would you buy it? Definitely there would be some bargain going on, but the truth is, you want that girl. :-) -

My friends call me a cynic, but I just don't think true love happens with a glance.

IMO we aren't cynical; we are experienced. People who have some life, lust and love experience are less inclined to mistake attraction for affection and lust for love.

I think that you have hit the nail right on the head there. If LOVE AT FIRST SITE does exist... then it only exists for those that do not have any life experience.

I think 'lust at first sight' can and does happen often. Love at first sight is not possible. I believe that true feelings of love have to develop over time and involve mutual love, trust, & friendship.-
I'm with you. Until there is a friendship foundation based on respect, trust, mutual attraction and affection, shared morals and ethics, shared interests and goals, then IMO what's being experienced ain't love. Granted, that you can decorate it with chocolates, perfume, and flowers and even with a marriage certificate but it's just lust .

I did fall in love at first sight with my mother.. when I was maybe 2 mins old. Back then, I didn't even know what thought was, let alone love.
