I believe in self improvement. But since I have been going around improving others I have neglected myself.

Since you are asking here goes,
Believe in yourself. Be mindful. Try to understand your feelings (negative and positive). Discard the negatives and think positively. Do good, refrain from bad and enjoy what you are doing. Do not expect anything in return. Be happy!
I can go on writing. But you will give up reading. Anyway if you can uplift your mind other things will follow
Good Luck!
By the way it is easier to write or tell others. Very difficult to practice. I am telling you this from my own experience. I am going to start improving myself. Now where’s the dustbin to discard my negativity.

I definitely believe self-improvement techniques work -- to those people who are open to them. Most people underestimate the power of the mind - but when you're open to an idea, it has a better chance of working for you.
2 of my favorite self-improvement quotes are related to health:
1. Oxygen is more important to your body than water - breathe as deeply as you can...and then even more...hold breath....count to 4 or 5 and release completely. 10 times, 3 times per day.
2. Drink more water than you're used to. Every organ in the body (skin being the largest organ) functions better when it is super hydrated. I always see celebrities with a bottle of water and one day it dawned on me: there must be some magical element to this.....water.

I believe Self Improvement when he doesn't come home at night, and me and his other friends say
"Hey, Self Improvement - If you're going to stay out at all hours of the night and keep your friends in a perpetual state of worry - how's about the courtesy of a phone call, huh?"
Self Improvement usually comes up with a good alibi. Something like
"I was just out watching reruns of Blossom" or "ALan Alda stopped over with a few hookers and some beer."
You know, something quite believable.
