Is it a chick thing?

Sending cards?

Jim here, always in the doghouse for not remembering to send greeting cards to relatives and pals. I prefer email or a gift through Amazon as Dubai snail-mail via Emirates post, unless couriered can take 7-14 days to reach mainland UK, provided that they paddle hard.

I'm about to be abused over at flowers so feel free to pitch in here or at this post if you want some comment lurve!

Its a chick thing. My other half always wants to send cards or postcards of somewhere we've visited, my attitude is why bother, nobody sends us any, and she struggles to find the words to write them anyway so they just end up being filled with meaningless cliches.
Waste of time in my book, and not terribly eco-friendly either.

True enough, the comments at flowers seem to indicate that it's not just me, phew!

Yes, I'm a guy and I have sent a "greeting card" to my lady friend, usually when she least expects it or when she's not having a good day.

Not being one to do anything by halves, I once decided to set up my own card making empire. Made hundreds and still have at least £1k worth of craft stuff which now kits my kids out nicely. Fills the entire conservatory (along with washing)

So...I do give them and try to get around to making them.

I like to send cards, so much is done by e-mail now it's nice to have the human touch.

Man I don't even celebrate many holidays or special occasions anymore let alone bother with greeting cards. Imagine how many cards just get thrown away.

Yes I like sending greeting cards. Just like to say I have put together some printable cards which are really easy to make. I was sick of those tacky free cards, so I wanted to put the record straight and make some myself
