  3. Ismailn7733
sometimes. especially if they have topic that interest me.
  4. siralmo
sometimes it depends on what they are saying
  5. davidrosen
I always do. But I dont get many comments so when I do I get so pumped.
    1. sensico
maybe if we were friends then I might comment...cant make any promises though. And why after all this time you still haven't acknowledged that Im the princess of BC....just curious.
    2. siralmo
hahaha you are soo mean, he knows you are princess...
    3. sensico
obviously, he doesn't I want to hear it from him that he knows Im the princess, not his friend Siralmo. Why doesn't he actually acknowledge my existence...he is the one being mean...
  6. sensico
yeah, it really depends on what they say. To my regular readers, I almost always reply back, and to new readers I try to reply back, but sometimes if they reply on a post thats months old then I don't bother, the convo was over a long time ago..
  7. pointlessbanter
Yes but only on new posts. Or unless they leave a comment that really warrants a response.
  8. Floormodel
no, but I always return their visit and go read their blog.
  9. DeadRooster
I usually do, unless the post is old (sometimes, even then).
  10. melindaville
I visit the blog of every single person who visits my blog and almost always leave a comment.
  11. ArsenicCookies
I always try to. There is one person who comments me quite frequently that I do not comment back to, mostly because I disagree with everything he blogs about and cannot for the life of me find anything neutral to say. It's not like little things either, they are major issues that we do not see eye to eye on and I haven't a clue why he reads my blog since it is the complete opposite of his
    1. melindaville
I have someone like that too.
    2. ArsenicCookies
good to know I am not the only one. Lol
  12. busylizzy
I don't care if it's someone I've never heard of before or someone a little more talkative on the discussion boards. If they make me laugh or inspire a reaction, they get a response.
  13. legbamel
On my blogs? Most of the time, if there's something more to say than, "Thanks." But I don't automatically go to someone's blog and leave a comment on theirs, if that's what you're asking. I'll often click the link, but I won't do "tit for tat" with comments. I only leave one if I've got something to say.
  14. saintsinner
I do if the person is actually starting a discussion or asks question.
  15. carriegroff
Does the person that commented on your blog know when you comment back to them?
    1. Financialnut
Depends on whether or not you give them the option. Some blogs will allow you to check a box to do it. Mine doesn't.

But to answer the original question- yes, I always reply. Blogging is a social experience.
  16. TheFabGiver
In the past, I didn't but as I start to get the hang of social networking etiquette, I'm making a better effort! I won't lie though, sometimes I still forget!
  17. abbyvilla
    almost always...it's part of living in a "community", and that's what my blog is all about. also, i try to live it out too - being a caring member of the communities of which i am a part :>}
  18. timethief
    Yes, almost always I do.
  19. dosox
Not really but i try too.
  20. carriegroff
My blog I think let's them know when I post a comment back to theirs.
  21. LMT50
I always reply to the comments on my site and visit the site of a new commenter. If I have something to contribute, I will leave a comment on their site too.

  23. JustMom
    Yes, 95% of the time.
  24. MadameX
If I have something to say.
  25. profits4idiots
Yes I do. I get to meet more people that way.

All depends on whether I can be arsed or not. Most of the time, I don't although that's because my standard week is made up of tiring night shifts, alcohol, video games and generic procrastination.

So when I'm not stupidly busy with all that, I'll usually post something on my page and when I can be bothered, I'll check out whatever my friends have posted. That's pretty much the gist of it.
    1. crpitt
Snap, well apart from the video games and night shifts
  27. Arcticulates
I try too! At first I didn't because I wasn't sure how, but now I have worked out a system. It works great, and I enjoy the comments that people leave and I want to acknowledge that they took the time to comment.

Some don't have web-pages or blogs so I just make sure I answer them, and I also try to visit every one's blogs or web-pages too.
  28. drjay1966
I usually take a look at the blogs of people who comment on mine. Then, if there's a comment I want to make I make it, as I would with any blog. I never leaves comments out of a sense of obligation, and I hope nobody does that on my blog.
    1. siralmo
so you form an opinion of them based on their blog??
  29. sunnyberra
Usually--or, at least I try to if I'm familiar with whatever topic they are discussing.
  30. dinsquared
Almost always, yes. I feel like it makes them feel welcome, encourages dialogue and adds more comments.
    1. siralmo
if you want dialog, put in a chat box
  31. TigerXtrm
I always comment back. If only as a way of saying thank you for visiting :).

If a person takes the time to comment on one of my posts I try to post a thank you and if they have a blog I visit it.

Usually those making a comment have found the post of benefit so it is important for me to acknowledge that I read their comment. I especially want to reply to a negative comment because I think it is important to acknowledge and thank them as well.

    1. lvs
      Always

I always respond by visiting their blog and leaving a comment on a post of interest to me

  34. faithauthorlm
Sure why not-unless it's just too weird!
  35. boytrotters
I try to, but I'm sometimes bad at keeping track of who said what, when.
  36. veeshken
Instead of a comment I would rather create a blogpost on my blog and link back to the blogpost about which I am going to comment. That way my reaction to the blogpost is registered and the bloke gets a free link.
  37. HalfCrazy
I love commenting back and see what they have to say. Even if it's a topic not in the scope of my interests, I always comment. And no, I don't just comment "Nice blog, I enjoyed it!" I always add something meaningful. I don't comment if the blog is about a month old LOL.
  38. CrotchetyOldMan
I always comment back. I can't always visit their blog as some days I get too many comments.
  39. rmaxwell142
Yes, always! Even if it's anonymous, I try to respond and visit another person's blog.
  40. Timmim
Yes always. Even though it's starting to be quiet time consuming but I like responses when I leave comments
  41. foodhere
Always....Customer Service is my middle name!
  42. HelloAnnie
If you mean respond to their comment? Yes.

If you mean comment back on their website? It all depends. I reciprocate when there is a post that I can comment, bookmark or share with my social network.
  43. JaneTurley
Always. I think it pretty rude if you don't - unless it's something that obviously doesn't require an answer. I find having conversations and getting to know regular commentators is great fun. If it's a new commentator I will reciprocate on their blog with a comment in the first instance but after that I only comment when I have something I wish to say about one of their posts.
    1. HalfCrazy
I agree. It's all about social networking.
  44. carsonfb
I try to, but I've missed a couple.
  45. jmjinks
I typically do. Unless I'm bogged down by too much offline stuff.

    But normally yes.
