Do you download software from techblogs?

I have a techblog but I don't offer free downloads instead I refer my readers to the publisher's site.
As much as possible I don't want to upload stuffs into my database for distribution but I do download plugins from blogs for some WP plugins. (they're php and css scripts anyway)
I only do reviews.

Depends on my trust of the site. A few sites I might download from, but otherwise - I'll avoid downloads from sources I do not trust, even if it is a blog I perhaps read occasionally - I'll not download from it.-
Same here. I make it a point that my anti-virus and spyware is running at the background even while browsing.
