I'm testing this week the google search. Anyone have some success with that promotion?
I want to hear some success story about it, also I want to know why you are not using it.
I need to do the pro/cons of this tool.

i use adsense, but haven't made anything yet. I guess its because I just started the site so I am getting traffic. Let me know how it goes for you.

I get some traffic to my blog sites, but have yet to make any real money on any google ad products. I have adsense as well but getting the clicks is not that easy. I guess time will tell on these as my main site has only been going for a couple of months.

One of my old theme used google search. I don't know whether it is better than any other earning program or not. But it musn't hurt to add it. Every little bit counts.
I am having problems including their code into my current theme search box. As soon as I figure it out - I will put google search back on my blog.

based on experience, you will see better results from using google search if you display results formatted in the general style of your blog/site.
just like adsense links, google search clicks tend to earn higher per click than adsense content ads (as the users have to essentially click twice - once on the search term or the link and then in the resultant display of results) - and hence the higher earnings typically.
it thus helps to format results in a similar format as to how you display your general content otherwise. -
if you are talking about google search bar on your blog, then i think it's not working for me. The people who searched on my blog often complained that they didn't get the accurate search result. And, few days ago, i searched my own blog using some keywords, and it didn't work. I mean it showed up with "no result found". Today, i disregarded the google search on my blog and there is no search bar on my blog from today. I'm seeking for another alternative or may be tweaking the same script tonight.

I get 40% of traffic from google search......although my PR is zero, for some 'unique' the first results page includes my page.......

Hi kiwipulse!
I have the same doubt as you. Look, this week I've had 7 google searches using my google search bar (you can see it here clickabook.blogspot.com )and made $0.0. I don't undestand why! If 7 people have used my bar to search with google, why don't I get paid for it? In which case do they pay? I don't understand...

Last 3 years: 1,561 queries, 185 clicks, $10.96 earned. Not my current site though. I think it really depends on what kind of site you have and how you integrate the search widget. If people want to search the web they will probably use the Google home page or toolbar anyway, but if you have content they are likely to search for, I would keep it. If you include hints/keywords your readers may search for, maybe then they are more likely to use it.
