I am eating a tomatoe and I added salt to it. My hubby's friend eats salt on wartermelon. So Iwas wondering if you ate salt with your raw fruit and vegetables?

Tomatoes, watermelon, peaches, cucumbers, jicama. Except for the peaches, the rest has to have lime juice and hot salsa

always eat fruits and vegetables without salt because it is harmful for health. taking salt over raw fruits or vegetables regularly can increase blood pressure.

Most of the time Ieat them in ranch but tomatoes have to have salt that is a rule in the south. Salt or make a BLT out of them.

Melons must be salted to be edible, but they are the only fruit I would salt. Don't really salt veggies much at all.

Wow! I hadn't thought of that in years! I quit using salt when I was pregnant with my first child due to blood pressure and fluid retention and never went back to it. Prior to that, however, I did salt some fruits and raw veggies because that's what my mother's family (especially my grandfather) did.

I've seen him salt cantaloupe and apples, and at the dinner table he used to put a little mound of salt on his plate into which he would dip radishes and spring onions. He also salted salad.

Wow! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

if it does not go down easily then salt and may be a little "chat Masala" (thats an Indian thing) are always welcome.

My nephew LOVES masala chips (french fries), while I prefer them without anything (including salt).
