It's not good to gossip, but we all do it anyway. I wouldn't say I enjoy it, but it just slips into the conversation

      That's only human!
  2. archiegottlieb
    yes and i love it.
    1. tinatina
Me too! Don't ever tell me a secret cause it won't stay a secret for long.
  3. idealpinkrose
I don't like gossiping because I'm afraid that it will make a big trouble. I also hate it when someone talks about me.
  4. gorya
    I don't like gossip.
  5. jafabrit
I think we all talk about others in a general way with no malice intended, but when it crosses into talking about their personal lives (or what we presume about their lives) and making judgments then no. I don't listen to it and I don't do it.
  6. michaelwillow
No I do not enjoy gossiping. I prefer to spend my time writing songs, fighting injustice....
  7. PussDaddy
Sure, as long as it isn't about me.
    1. footiam
      I'll take this!
  8. Guzzo
    Why? What have you heard?

Everyone that says you don't like has still done it. Everyone gossips. Those who say they don't, i don't believe it. In this world it is almost impossible not to gossip unless your a hermit.
Personally i hate it but i can't avoid it, thats the problem. So if you want to gossip go for it, claim title to the starting of drama.

"Personally i hate it but i can't avoid it, thats the problem. "

      maybe you haven't tried enough.
We may not avoid hearing it, but that doesn't mean we have to encourage it, participate in it.
I never did get why the petty info or rumours about the lives of others at work, around us, are worthy of discussion or have any seeming validity.
I seem to have been on the receiving end of gossips and on a few occasions in neighbourhood get togethe's I have been quite astonished by some of the claims my neighbours have made to me regarding how I spend my time. It was quite laughable really to hear someone tell me how I spend my time. It made them look ignorant and stupid.

I can take it or leave it. People gossip about me all the time and I just laugh and go along with it. I never really worried what people think of me, my family and friends know me that's all that matters to me

I guess what would you consider gossip? Some people think just repeating something said in conversation with someone else is gossip but others think it's things said in confidence. I keep things said in confidence to myself but don't see anything wrong with bringing up a point made in a conversation.
    1. chicky401
I totally agree with the keeping things in confidence. Too many people tell me things in confidence but that is where it stays.
    2. kat822
good to hear, that is something of a rarity these days it seems
  12. xmarks
I don't want to like it but I do.

  17. hatingtherain
    I gossip, I admit it. I don't think I know anyone who doesn't.
    1. footiam
      I don't know anyone who doesn't either.
  18. IntoTheAzureSea

  20. win2009
yes i think gossip is bad coz not really only lie and i don't like it
    1. footiam
gossip could be about things that have really happened!
  21. voodooKobra
No, I hate gossip. Gossip is only useful when someone is being stubbornly indirect, and even then, the gossip usually has the story wrong.
  22. LolitaV
yes, but i only gossip To D. people tell me stuff and i don't repeat it except to D. and i tell everyone ahead of time: don't tell me anything you don't want me to tell him. but he hates gossip, so he usually listens then grunts
i can't keep secrets from him, except for the blog.
  23. stellak
I usually try to stay away from gossip, especially at the office, but somehow gossip has its way of finding me. I usually just listen and nod.
  24. NatetheGrate
Gossip is nasty and disgusting. Yes, it's sometimes hard to stop, but the best things in life are sometimes hard. Right?
  25. ismsandologies
I became hung up on definitions, so I found one.

Gossip--Rumor or talk of a personal, sensational, or intimate nature.

Gossip needn't be malicious. I think it comes of a natural desire to know more about the people around you. Family gossip, for instance, can almost be a tradition, and that gossip arises out of concern for the people involved.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it is beneficial, but at least to claim it as morally neutral. Who isn't a little curious about their associates' personal lives?
  26. aspotofblog
Not if the gossip is about me!
  27. nothingprofound
No, I only like to talk about myself.
    1. footiam
You will have first hand news!
  28. ToughCookieMommy
I enjoy gossiping about trivial stuff but I don't gossip about people's lives or their personal business.
    1. footiam
      That's thoughtful.
  29. drjay1966
No, I don't enjoy gossiping. But I know people who do. Like my friend Frank. He gossips constantly, particularly to the Sadie, the woman he's cheating on his wife with....
  30. cuteptaguy
If it's juicy and factually correct I must admit I may be persuaded to lend an ear. I read on a T-shirt once. "I don't repeat gossip so listen closely"
  31. fazrul
it depends on situation and its contents:)
  32. alivasim
i rlly hate it...and also the people who are geek in it..
  33. brianomaracroft
Guys always accuse women of being gossips, but we're pretty much ten times worse than they are, at times.
  34. cazywaz
If there's gossip to be had, i'm a happy woman!
  35. AnastasiaFB
Of course I do. It's one of my favourite forms of relaxation, that and character assasination. :-))
  36. eoracleapps
once in a while it is cool to do so
  37. armywife65
OMFG! I hate it with a passion. That is why I don't hang out with other military wives. They seem to have nothing better to do than biotch, complain and gossip about someone they "call" a friend..
    IT's crazy stupid!
