Do you ever post "off topic" just because?

With hurricane Dean bearing down on the Yucatan peninsula, I've added an "off topic" post to my blog. That is an area I visited and loved in 1998. Just knowing how things are built there, makes my heart heavy.

The little park we stayed at in Paamul, is still recovering from Hurricane Wilma, and Dean is bigger and meaner.

The only one of my blogs that pretends to have a topic is the dog blog, and approximately half of my posts there begin with some version of, "Okay, I know this has nothing to do with dogs..."

If I see some humorous angle in it, it will be on my blog. If I don't see any, well it usually ends up on my blog anyway.
