Do you follow fashion or your own unique style?

I think you should be true to your own style but enjoy new fashion too. I mix up the latest stuff with old pieces from my wardrobe that I'd never be without.
Are you a dedicated follower of fashion or do you go your own way? What is your favourite piece of clothing? I am happy to be wearing my boots again!

No way... I don't feel the need to be stylish. I'm someone who likes to wear what's comfortable and just something that I like. It's easy to spot the trends because so many people are wearing them. While I like to see what the new styles are, I definitely wouldn't spend my money on them. I'd rather get another manga or something.
Styles change too often that I feel it a waste to always try to be in the trend. Besides, why would I want to look like everyone else and blend in the crowd? Comfort is the best style. Clean and casual comfort.

Ironically, I'm a fashion professional but ignore it to the most part. I buy what I like whether or not it's in or out - and I couldn't tell for sure anyway - and mix and match... I try to pay attention to basics so I'm not completely out of it, but I can wear the same piece for ages... For example. I have boots I bought in 1994. A belt I got around the same time. A biker jacket I made in 1998 and my eye classes (which I do hate already) date back to 2001. Yey.

That's an interesting point re eye glasses. I have just had to replace mine after six years and wanted to change style but the majority of styles on offer were oblong shaped which is the latest thing. A young salesman tried to convince me of it but I don't want to look like everyone else and as I said to him, I need to be wearing these for at least the next four years, I don't want to be dated by my glasses!

I have learned what looks the best on me and that's what I seek out. All I care about is the prettiness factor. I have been in style recently b/c I looove the fashions of the last 3 years or so. There were 2 years a while back when I had a hard time shopping for clothes b/c the all new styles were crap.

ooh, clothes, the most dreaded topic.
I used to dress appropriately and I used to be a fashion victim, now I just go for what's comfy and a little bit in fashion - at least for the last 5 years.
Then I chancedupon an old friend who didn't realize it was me - either because of the clothes I wore or her impression. yay! -

Ironically, I am pursuing a career in (bridal) fashion design, and I couldn't care less about trends. I checked out a bridal shop during the week and thought oh, all the dresses look the same. Must be some sort of a fashion thing going on..? I got into fashion to start with because I was bored sick of the same style in every store. Nothing changes but the brand. BORING!

I consider myself to be stylish nonetheless I don't follow what's hot this season etc. I prefer to be an individual instead of following masses.
Am I brand conscious? Yes and no. I do have high end collection but I also shop my clothes at hypermarkets like Carrefour. I love my 5 bucks a piece t-shirt. I bought them in a bundle. They are really comfortable.
You don't need to buy expensive clothes to be fashionable and stylish. A person who really understands fashion and style can make cheap or thrift shop clothes look highly expensive. -
I used to major in fashion. Let me tell you that it's a really hard field to major in. It's all about competition. And I'm sure if you have the passion for fashion you will do just fine. As for me, I like following up on the fashion and hitting it with my OWN unique style. But that's just me. I like to blend in yet look different at the same time

I dont follow the fashion trends. I like wearing shirts on my own fashion where I will be comfortable. Fashion just always cycle. Fashion in the past just come back.

i'm aware of trends but i definitely wear what i want and what i like; first and foremost i like to keep true to myself, all because something is hot i'm not going to wear it if i'm not drawn to it.

Well,I kinda have my own fashion sense. Whenever I go to my secret spot to go swimming,I don't wear my bathing suit,bc I don't want it to get dingy. So I take an old t-shirt cut the arms and collar off, make a rip in the middle so my chest can get sun, pull it,and knot it in the back. I wear it with my cutoffs, and viola...u got a rednek backini, haha

I definitely have a unique something but I wouldn't call it a "style." Maybe "scarecrow" is an apt description.
