I believe many people don't enjoy sitting on a bus for long periods of time. So I would like to share my view on why I don't get bored and quite enjoy this particular 7 hour bus journey. Enjoy.

Also your answer on here would be good to know, thankyou.

hey Richard. 7 hours is not much. What about me travelling 48 hrs between Amsterdam-Bucharest. (and not only once)

Did you get the slow coach???? I've been on longer journeys, 24 hours on a bus through the atacama desert was my longest.. doing 48 hours on a journey depends if your going A to B back home or something but I don't think theres much point in travelling like that INFOWEBEXPLORE you will miss to much.

I went on long overnight bus journey from Warsaw to London, which is across all continent. There were only Poles going to work in UK and nobody spoke English, just some German. Some passengers were leaving families and crying, when boarding the bus. It was sad sight.

When we were crossing border to East Germany, German border guards took only me off the bus for questions. After Germans found out that I am real and do exist, I returned to bus. Some passengers were happy to see me again and said good boy or something similar and we were off.

And just a few hours south in Switzerland, we were the only ones not to be checked because we are English, crazy isnt it.

I would never go on a long bus journey since that beheading on the Greyhound up here last year. I'd rather walk LOL.

Long bus journeys is an opportunity for me, because it means i can catch some shut eye while i go to work.

Killing two birds with one stone.

I don't get bored. But I did find it difficult to breathe on those buses that operated on the rule that only the occupants of the last 5 rows may smoke. The smoke still would fill the entire cabin and none of us who are prone to bronchitis were allowed to even crack open a window.

Most of my traveling through third world countries has been via bus. I love it!!! It gives me the opportunity to soak up the culture, practice their language and relax a bit. Most coaches have very comfortable seating, movies and snacks on board.

MMM, you should try those buses in the former USSR! I've been on some where the exhaust comes right into the cabin when it seems the oil had not been changed in 3 years! (cough! cough!)

      Yuck!

My bus rides were through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. I took the first class buses that were only a few dollars more than the other people movers.

I took a greyhound bus from NYC to San Francisco. And if it weren't for that drag queen who sat next to me, entertaining me all the way, I would have killed myself before we ever made it through Nebraska.

Nebraska is the *worst, most boring* state in the entire country. I feel the U.S. should disown it.

(my sincere apologies to those of you who happen to be from that Godforsaken place).

Nobody entertains like a drag queen. That's for sure!

      Abso-freakin-lutely!
    3. MadMadMargo
I agree, Nebraska is one of the two states I absolutely refuse to road trip through.

      Sorry 'bout that Cornhuskers.

I would get bored. I get restless around 4 hours. I would rather fly to my destination and enjoy the extra time there. Plus, my lower back problem would appreciate a quick flight versus a long train ride.

I entertain myself by just looking out the window, listening to music, talking with the person next to me, or laughing at the jokes/games that are usually made by the people on the back.

It also depends on the distinctive condition(s) of the trip. On the last one I went to, it was for a photography assignment, and I spent quite some time taking pictures of the countryside.
