How much traffic are you getting from BlogCatalog to your blog?
And how can we increase it?

That is a good idea.
Traffic which does not convert to readers, means you are not likely to get repeat visitors. Having readers is better than traffic.
Make money online gets traffic all the time, but do they make money at all? It does not depend on the traffic, it depends on the content and what people like to read about, other than delivery of that content.
My girlfriend just made her first sale and she has not even updated her blog for two months!

Not a lot, but I am not that active yet; I would imagine as I start getting to know more people, I will

Because this subject is frequently discussed on this forum and we members type out the same advice over and over again, I typed "increase traffic" into the Discussion Search box in the sidebar and got this link for you www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/search.php?q=increase+traffic
Please use the link to find all the good advice that's in previous threads.
In additon the social search function is really great and you can use it to locate other blogs that are in the same niche as your own. Then you can leave meaningful comments and form relationships with like minded bloggers. www.blogcatalog.com/topic/herbal+remedies/ -
I get pretty good traffic in the form of friends, and that is what makes me the happiest about participating in this community and reading other blogs. If no one stops to leave a comment then blogging can be pretty boring. In the last few months I think I have around 4-5K hits "from BC" which isn't that much considering my site averages 100K a month...but the BC traffic really adds a lot to my page because it creates discussions and comraderie that couldn't just be pulled out of thin air on cyberspace.
Getting traffic is like making popcorn. You have to turn the machine on and PATIENTLY wait for it to heat up for a while... it sucks because you are starving, and maybe you are even wondering if the popper is full of old maids. Just be patient. Eventually, you will get a few pops here and there then it starts to increase, and then it really all starts popping at once.
If you start out blogging with the interest of making friends, acquaintences, and contacts at BC you will get the few initial pops that will in time really get things poppin. -
I get some traffic from here, but most of my traffic comes from Wordpress.com searches.

Well no traffic from here coz i've joined just now... But my blog's on google search because of blog catalog! I have submitted my blog to many sites but no luck. And if your blog is in Blogger you should submit it to web master and add a site map...

i had a site meter when i joined BC and there was a definite uptick in visits.
i ditched it (site meter) recently because i decided i didn't want to spend so much time thinking about that stuff. i still like BC for the chat forums and will probably stick around for them, though i am not one for all the social networking stuff that seems to go hand-in-hand with being a successful blogger. though i have found some good blogs to read since joining. -
I have found the best way to get traffic is to comment on others blogs.
Also, find something to write about that is unique or extremely popular. I took on a scam artist and researched him thoroughly and my blog traffic took off.
