  Truth be told, not really. If he was talking about abusing a woman because she's a woman? Yeah - but in many cases women get away with slapping men in heated arguments, and expect to be treated differently because of gender.
  
  I have always felt that turnabout was fair play.
  
  I'm pretty sure that is what he is talking about here. If I slap a man or provoke anyone really - to the point of physical reaction, and I get slapped, that's what I get I'm not going to turn around say "You can't do that! I'm a woman!".

  You probably are too young to remember when he initially made these comments, but I don't recall that being the context at all. If I recall correctly, the longer version was something to the effect that many women kept pushing because they were looking for the "ultimate confrontation" and wanted a smack, and that sometimes slapping a woman was the only way to "get her under control".

  I would probably have to hear the whole thing context, then.
  
  But I have to say, my husband and I go through this - we both constantly push for the last word, the final say and our arguments get very heated. Sometimes a smack to the worst offender really does work.
  
  It's like smacking someone who is hysterical - which, by the way I was taught to do in life threatening situations. (not that an argument is life threatening, but it works on different levels is what I'm getting at).
  
  But I am talking about a smack here, not knocking each other F@*& out.
