What do you normally have for breakfast? Some people told me a person ought to have a heavy breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. Is it true, I wonder.

I think it's true, so you can use the energy from it throughout the day.
But I just have oatmeal, doctor's orders (cholesterol problems). -

I never really had breakfast my entire life. Just some OJ in the morning or apple juice. Im about 123-125 pounds.

There's no normal breakfast for me.
It could be eggs and toast, oatmel, or cereal.
But usually something traditional.
Or I skip breakfast and wait til lunch. (eek)
its 11:19 am and theres a rumbly in my tummy -
I take an awesome whole foods drink in the morning called "The Feast". This gives me energy and nutrition. About 30 minutes later, I eat a good sized breakfast- eggs, toast, fruit, etc. That keeps me going for a while.

As I walked downtown and ignored the traffic Noise, I ate a piece of Carrot Cake. Took the Pawtucket #99 to Main St. Got in the Office, sat and ate a honeybun, while this stranger tried not to stare at me eating ( i noticed him watching). Filled out some paperwork that should have been done a week ago and thought to myself. "I need a life". I have to much freedom.

Masses of English tea, a blend of Co-Op 99 with Lapsang Souchong and porridge when I've woken up !! Surpringly not a croissant even though I live in the land of croissants and baguettes !!

Well today, as Jim prepares for the flowrrs weight loss contest he ate nothing as he was getting body fat measured - no food or drink 3 hours before....the best is a per tech fun - oatmeal with its slow release of energy, sometimes an omlettes, sometimes toast but ensure you have breakfast - break the fast - most importamt meal of the day! :-)

Airplane food. United "fresh fruit" entree. Oh, and the stale crackers and cheese.
Slept all plane ride so here I am awake at 4 AM -

I had nothing yet today - too busy. Different each day - hummus and pita or bagel with cheese (1/2 if it's the big ones) but no sugar - I'm hypoglycemic and it sets my day off way wrong.
By the way, I don't know how everyone else gets away with oatmeal. If I have it my blood sugar drops within an hour and a half. I must be the odd one out - as usual. -
I'm bad--I usually have nothing during the week. On occassion I'll have some tea & toast (or a fruit cup or something.) Sometimes I'll just grab a cheesestring on my way out the door. When we're off on the weekends we like to have breakfast together, though (in which case it's usually bacon, eggs & water for him & eggs, fruit & 2% milk for me.) I admit that I do function better when I fuel the Lanamobile with breakfast, though.

yoghurt or a piece of fruit.
But I cook a breakfast for my husband, usually eggs and meat of some kind, mushrooms and grilled tomatoes, baked beans and, if his blood sugar is within bounds, toasted low GI bread with sugar-free jam. -
I generally have eggs... but since the past two days I'm on a liquid diet cuz I cant open my mouth... Getting a wisdom tooth so the end of my jaw is swollen and it hurts so much!! grrrrr

I skip breakfast most days and cook for my kids. I cooked omelets this morning and I had a veggi omelet. It just depends on my mood I guess.

I don't always eat breakfast but when I do I go all out. Usually corned beef hash, eggs, hashbrowns, toast and possibly a pancake. Probably why I don't eat breakfast all the time mine is heart attack on a plate

I didn't try it when I was in UK to let you know if it is worth it compared to what you have
Gotta say tho if you come out this way and see a Waffle House (and honestly I don't think they have the corned beef hash or haven't had it there) you have to try them. They have good waffles with nicely warmed up syrup and a variety of stuff to get on your hash browns. Even their lunch food comes with a waffle

Usually a peanut butter and bannana sandwich on whole grain bread and a glass of water with a multi-vitamin and maybe an apple. Or, some strawberries and pineapple and save the multivitamin for later. Also, pineapple and peanut butter is the most horrid pairing on the planet. I dare you to eat pineapple and then eat some peanut butter afterwards, seriously!
