So, lately I have found out I have someone in the area that looks almost exactly like me. This is to the point people are confusing him to be me. So I have now started a bit of a search for this guy. Obviously if he looks like me, If I put pictures up of me they will find him too right?

So now to harness the power of the internet, I am going to try to get stumbles, diggs, and all that fun stuff in the effort to find this guy. I hope he uses the internet a lot....

But Cameron-- while I respect your quest to find your "twin"-- YOU don't look like the same YOU in those two photos... :-) I would swear those were two different guys.

Hmm... and what if you find out he's your Evil Twin when you find him.
    1. tetsujin
Haha, yeah that is why I posted both, because I have my own multiple personalities

I don't think they look alike either.... but MAYBE they are fraternal???

I DO have a fraternal twin. She has blond hair and green eyes; my exact opposite!
    3. ThriftShopRomantic
But see, those photos are BOTH Cameron, right? One of them isn't a photo of the OTHER guy someone has passed along-- they're BOTH our very own "Tetsujin."

This may be the crux of the problem, Cameron... You're a shape-shifter!
    4. tetsujin
Haha, yes both those pictures are me in fact...Lol

Maybe people in Cams hood are confusing Cameron with Cameron.

Those pictures do look different, but good luck on finding your twin!

That's kinda creepy I remember reading Mandy & Judy when I was a kid and one of the stories was about a girl who had a double living nearby. I used to be terrified that there was another girl walking around my neighbourhood that looked just like me. What if she had been doing horrible things and people thought she was me? I was an odd kid all the same...
  4. n8
Wow...close resemblance. I dunno if I have my own doppleganger, but they say everyone does. Just think some where on God's green earth there's another right sexy bastard that shares my looks. Hopefully he's not as cocky or narcissistic as me. There's only room for 1.
  5. crpitt
Will you behead him when you find him? There can be only one..... or something like that
    1. n8
Yes well...that or challenge him to a drinking contest to the death. Maybe I spoke too quick. I think I'd like to arm wrestle him. Maybe there's room for one more. I get Detroit though!
    2. tetsujin
Haha, YES! I feel the power, I am the...Flatlander!

      Cameron
    3. n8
      hah flatlander...nice..

What if he is a criminal or something?
Better be careful man. Suddenly you have the cops at the door.
    1. tetsujin
Oh geez, that would be bad, You guys are my witnesses...I didn't do it!

I have a feeling I'm the evil twin so he'd better look out for me. I'm a bit notorious myself. Known coast to coast like butter and toast.
  8. crpitt
Its all okay now Cameron, I found the evil fiend and although it was difficult managed to kill him

    evil twin

I have the same problem there is another Aardvark two streets away and he is the spitting image of George Clooney too, what are the chances?

It is a weird feeling if you are not someone with a common look. Years ago, in San Francisco, I found myself looking at my twin on public transportation. It was like looking in the mirror! He was looking at me also, but I think we were both so stunned that we said nothing and I had to get off right then. Recently someone told me I looked just like Steven Spielberg though that comparison is nothing as close as that guy years ago.

Some people seem to think I really look like jean-claude van damme... Never thought of it myself, but I get that comment every few months.. so I guess it must be true
    1. crpitt
      Do you have his ass?
    2. tetsujin
      Jean-Claude Van Twin...creepy.

People keep calling me Jesus. Find it a bit disturbing.
    2. tetsujin
I would call you Jesus, but everyone knows Jesus isn't Norwegian, hes Czech.

      Cameron
    3. crkian

I've always been told I look like this person or that person somebody knows or someone in some movie. Funny thing is, it's not like I'm running into people who I think look like me. (...Fortunately for the other folks! :-)
  16. wehireu
No, I am quite happy to say, I haven't found my double yet.
  17. Xight
You know I was stumbling, and found this site. I thought about this forum topic so I had to come share it

I think this fucker is ripping me off. (Note: I'm being ironic. Everyone accuses me of stealing from him despite the fact that all my articles were written by me.)

I once had someone come up to me in a coffee shop and insist that I was an old friend of theirs. I actually had to convince them otherwise. (And no, it was not a scam or someone with a few screws loose.)

A photographer has an interesting project of unrelated look-alikes: haha.nu/amazing/im-not-a-look-a-like/
  21. bloggernoob
people say i look like this gangster actor.
  22. tetsujin
Thats amazing how many look alikes there are out there.

I am still hunting for mine, hope he pops up.

    Cameron
    1. clioandme
      Your human or monster counterpart?
  23. MadameX
This happened to my husband about 12 or 13 years ago, and it was inconvenient because his "lookalike" was a gangbanger who went by the name of Aloicious and was generally referred to as "big and bad". Not everyone who mistook my husband for him had honorable intentions.
    1. tetsujin
That would suck really bad, I have a strange feeling you a bit paranoid of drive bys now.

      Cameron
  24. Unfettered
This is particularly interesting to me as I was adopted, and have absolutely no idea who my biological family is. When people mistake me for someone they've known, I always wonder if they've mistaken me for a brother I don't know I have.
    1. MadameX
This actually happened to me once with a cousin, Unfettered. When I was in college, the girl randomly assigned to the room next to me mentioned that I looked just like one of her best friends from home--it turned out her friend was my first cousin, just one I'd had little contact with growing up. What was especially interesting was that she maintained that it wasn't just physical resemblance but our mannerisms and inflections that were similar, and I'd met this cousin only a couple of times in passing in my youth and hadn't seen her for many years.
    2. Unfettered
That is interesting! I'm often tempted to find out more about my biological family for just this reason. "Oh! That guy really is my brother."
    3. clioandme
But then what about the doubles from the link I cited above? They don't appear to have had any connection whatsoever.
  25. Unfettered
Oh, yeah. I definitely assume in most cases of mistaken identity or assumed relation that there really isn't a connection. I just wonder.
  26. zawadi
Had a few people tell me i look like Dana Owens, = Queen Latifah
  27. claudiorodval
People say I look like Godzilla?!
  28. brigid
Someone who looks like me? That would be too weird. I think I'd probably faint from shock if I found one.
    1. clioandme
The thing is, *you* might not notice. It's usually the other people that do.

Lately I've had students in the hallway who didn't know me identify me with some TV actor I've never heard of. One was kind enough to assure me that that was a good thing. Here's hoping.
  29. crpitt
Cameron I am having problems commenting on your site.
    1. tetsujin
What is is saying when you are trying to comment?

    1. acousticguitarist
      ok

      i'm safe...just checked
  31. clioandme
By way, Cameron, have I told you that the new avatar is working for me?
    1. acousticguitarist
there's a monster at the top
    2. clioandme
Indeed. And it works really well as an avatar for Cameron.

[edit] You're "there's a monster" comment reminds me of a Sesame Street book that features Grover, _The Monster at the End of this Book_ (sorry for yet more randomness) [/edit]
  32. Puffmatty
