I don't at the moment, but my kids have a miniature dachschund (aka weiner dog) at their dad's house and I dog-sit sometimes. I always tell my kids it's so cute I'm going to put mustard on it and eat it.

the first pets i properly owned as an adult were two pet rats. They were absolutly perfect for a layabout student. But they died in such horrible ways after a year i'm tramatised about getting another pet. One got lung infection and went gasping for breath and the other doubled in size with a tumour and went after tons of strokes. They ended up costing me a fortune in vet bills but i thought they were great.

I have a cat named Smokey. He is a terror.
He is my protector and he will rip to shreds if you annoy him or mess with me.
He is so my sidekick, together we are a dynamic duo.
He has his own rocking chair and you better not sit in it cause he will kill you.

One of my friends invited me over to her house a while back and she had a Dog,
but she put down a few rat traps and the stupid dog somehow got his penis caught in the rat trap. I swear to you the Dog spoke 14 different languages before we got the trap off him.
He was in agony and you could see the pain in his face.
He was running through the kitchen and accidently ran right into the rat trap.
His face was pure pain and he spoke in tongues.

And another thing about Cats that you should be aware of,
You all better make sure that when you are going on trip, you feed you Cat.
My Great Aunt was a know it all and I remember telling her to feed "Muffin" before she went to Sunday Mass. She was gone for many hours and her Cat "Muffin" perched himself right on top of the door post. When she returned home and opened the door with her keys, "Muffin" jumped down and scratched up her face. He was pissed and all I remember saying to her was "I told you to feed him". lmao -
We have a Golden Retriever named Maggie. She's now 3 years old. We've had her since she was 12 weeks old. She's awesome. She traveled with us all over the US in 2006/07. She did great and she's been to 46 out of the lower 48 states...not bad for a dog.
We also have a kitten now, about 3 months old. She's a little orange tiger and her name is Tillamook (famous Oregon cheese factory and because of her cheddar look). She and the dog get along great.
So, everyone in my family has red hair sorta (my wife, 4 kids, the dog, the cat is reddish orange and my mop is gray with some hints of the old red, haha). -
Two cats, Lucy & Peanut. Lucy, dubbed "orange horrible" by my mother in-law will lure you in with her good looks and then hiss when you try to pet her. She really is a sweet cat, but no one will ever know except the few that take time to get past her objections. Peanut loves everyone (except other cats), drools on your flip flops.

That is a gorgeous dog! I bet he eats as much as a horse!
We have a little fluffball maltese/pomeranian/shitzu cross called Bobbie.

I'd like to get a black labrador when we work out which country we'll be living in.
We also have a yellow budgie called Willie who says things like 'whatcha doin?', 'gimme a kiss', and 'I love you'. We have another budgie called Kalua who can't get a word in when Willie's around, so he hasn't learned to say anything.

Imagine how much better things in the world would be if people spent as much time helping the needy, the unfortunate, the old, the sick as much as they care for pets. Imagine if people would take the time to socialize and communicate with other people instead of having mock conversations with their dog cause they're lonely.
I remember a writer and scholar from the East, after visiting and touring America, commented "It's amazing the time, energy and resources Americans spend on their lawns, automobiles and especially their pets." -

I currently have three cats--each with its own personality. Up until recently, I also had a wondrous dog, Ms. T (which evolved into Misty :). Misty, a black lab/chow mix, was born in the house, and she grew up with cats and learned cat things: She licked herself clean, protected the cats from outside dogs, slept with the cats, and ate cat litter (she couldn't quite figure out what to do with that part of a cat's life :). It was her job, she thought, to be with us all the time (even if it required climbing three flights of stairs with her arthritis). When she was 14 years old, she lay down two feet from where she was born, and fell into a sleep from which she never awoke. Who says a "dog's life" can't be fulfilling?
