I keep the Delphic Oracle in my garden shed...no bloody use though...always speaks in riddles!
    1. m2urray
Yes, true some do speak in riddles SiuilARuin, that's what makes them so hard to understand.

Annoying thing is that she's so bloody ambiguous! You think she's told you you're going to win a battle, turns out you lose the battle and she was talking about the other guy! gah! useless!

    No, I don't think so.
A lawyer could be an oracle but I don't have any relation with lawyers. Teachers maybe? But they're not my counseling nor prophetic opinions source, unless it's related to what they're teaching....

    So I guess no.

"My 'Oracle' is contained in an 'Orb' nessled in a cave high atop a mountain surrounded in swirling mist. It is the centre of all things ever known, all things that are known and all things that will be known in the ages to come." - Anonymous (circa 3026)

My Dreams provide the strongest counsel for me. Their are many versions of oracles in my dreams - animals and presences, sacred places.

My own (somewhat fallible) common sense.

Sure I do. And she resembles the late Gloria Foster. Here's a photo:

Now, if only she'd stop talking about Zion and all that nonsense ...
  8. Bassagirl
Awww, Gloria Foster, I know off topic, but fabulous actress. RIP.

LOL, I used to work for Oracle. Does that count?? Didn't meet too many wise or prophetic folks there though
    1. m2urray
Ummm, no that's not the "Oracle" under discussion here...

I use many different types of divination as Oracles, tea leaves, tarot cards, crystal ball, pendulum, but I only have Matron and Ancestral shrines.
    1. m2urray
I don't think it matters as much what you use as an "Oracle" as long as the thing performs the function you desire of it.

My brother provides me with much wise counsel. Just today, he asked me this thought-provoking question:

When life hits you in the face, do you always act like such an @ss?

I have my books and memories of my grandparents. I consider myself fortunate.
