I just hear that some people just don't have time to read? What do you think of this?

Absolutely, I try and manage a book a week or so. I'm currently reading "The Agile Gene" by Matt Ridley.

Sadly, I have three unfinished books laying around. Blogging consumes most of my free time. My resolution for the new year is to try and rework my daily schedule to blog more efficiently so I have more time for what used to be my leisure time activities, like reading.

I love to blog and play on-line, but reading was an addiction long before I started doing either of those things. I read a book or two a week, often with a magazine slipped in for spice. If I'm in the midst of a really good book, I'll have to force myself to quit reading and write something for my blog. Then, once I'm on, I'll have to force myself to quit clicking around and get back to the story!

I read every night before going to bed. I am also one of those people that cannot read one book at a time, usually two or three depending on my mood. Right now I am reading Shadow Moon and Understanding the Bible: A Reader's Introduction. I usually average 60 to 75 books a year, not including reference books I use when researching blog posts and other work.

I read books about marketing, better writing, blogging and SEO just to get to sleep. Many nights, I wake up in the middle of the night with my light on and blogging book on my chest.

I just started reading a book, I'm going to have to read more often as it improves my creativity. Although I had to put it down because it gave me some inspiration to work on my next post for my weekly blog. :s

I always feel if a person REALLY wants to do something they do it, and that includes reading. I have never been a big book reader, which is not to say I don't enjoy a good book now and again, but my reading habits haven't changed much over the years, before computers, and after.
What would be a warning bell for me is if I was blogging more than doing my art, but I don't see that happening. -
Once I have written my latest, fantastic blog entry, I find all books simply pale in comparison when compared to my own astonishing literary endeavours.
In short: no. -

I only read books when I do my traveling. Though Singapore is a small country, getting to one place or another isn't that easy. Well, I can take 45 mins to 1 hr getting to town, thus that is the best time to read.
Otherwise, I will read newspaper in the middle of the night before I go to bed. Sometimes a book, but most of the time, newspaper. -
oh totally! Actual blogging doesn't take up that much of my time... it's reading all those blogs out there that does it. And even then, I still make it through at least 2 books a month. There's only so many hours a day I can take looking at the screen.... and books/reading have been a passion since childhood anyway, no way I'd give it all up for any reason!

I can't imagine not reading. I usually read on the bus or train and I go to the library every three weeks for more.
I used to read lots of fiction but I've found that I'm reading more non fiction now, as I often choose books that would fit in with my blog subjects as well, so that I can review them. -
I moaned a lot not reading enough on my blog. After doing two articles on it and a podcast, I finally resolved to switch to audiobooks, although some firends call that "cheating".
I'm not going back to print if I can help it. I play the books before bed and it's like a bedtime story - regression to a lesss problem filled time. They'd rob me of that?
Now I do humorous book reviews as part of my content, ironically encouraging others to read ... or at least listen like I do. -
I have to read books because I am a school going daughter. If I don;t pick up a book, I am not teaching good learning habits.
Recently, I am more interested in books as I find so many interesting references from bloggers who write so well.
I do not like novels though because I do not have the patience to follow through a big story. -

I find it tough to stay on top of all the books I want to read. I only really purchase novels now. I have enough reference books and subscribe to a lot of online journals so get the most of what I need to read professionally online. There is nothing like a good novel and a cozy cup of tea on a rainy afternoon though...
