I just started a new blog. And it is all about leaving comments.

Do you just read comments or do you leave comments?
Either way you should check out my blog and I double dog dare you to leave a comment on it.

Sometimes I do sometimes I don't, depends on the blog entry or I just want to say hi to a blog that I haven't been to for a while. I never say anything for the sake of it.-
You never comment about the other comments?

It depends on the content of the blog, why I read it and if I have anything to contribute.
I don't leave comments just to get a track back or stuff like that - I must have something to add.-

Trackback and links are one thing. I think everyone needs to voice an opinion every once and awhile.

If you "voice an opinion" it is because you have something valuable to add.
Saying stuff like "I agree" or "yes" or other meaningless stuff - then comments are left only as a means of getting tack backs and stuff like that, and not to "voice opinions".

I agree with the above posters. I only comment if I have something of interest to add, or if I really enjoyed the post/blog. -

I've been known to read comments, and to leave them, so: yes.
Not, by far, the worst idea for a blog that I've seen.-

I leave comments if I have something to say about the post (or, sometimes, just to let them know I stopped by if I found them on bc if they ask people to do that).-

when i leave replies, i leave replies expecting that i won't get an answer unless there is discussion on the page. its tiring to answer comments konwing that people won't come back to it and appreciate your reply

There are times that I want to comment on a blog but I feel less than qualified to post on a certain subject. So rather than comment I just read and learn and try not to look stupid.

To be honest, sometimes I'll leave vague, almost not related responses to an article because I wish I was *able* to add something useful to the discussion

i generally just enjoy reading them, especially if i haven't been following someone's blog. it gives a little more insight, i feel. but i do like to comment occasionally.
