Do you let your kids cook?

Those of us with kids do you let them cook? Or did you cook when you were a kid? and What did you come up with?
I let my daughter do alot in the kitchen. (Supervised) She is 13 and knows how to cook tons of things. She is not aloud to fry anything or use a grill (she will blow us up) but she has made alot of diffrent things lately. She is branching out and having fun. It also teaches her science and math.

I taught my sons to cook. As far back as I can remember they were helping out in the kitchen and as they got older they did more. When they hit middle school they each had to cook dinner one night a week.-
I do that with my daughter makes my hubby nuts he cant stand the fact a 13 year old is in control of his dinner. My 5 year old loves to cook too. He loves to make biscuits and cakes. He can crack an egg like a pro.

Yes! My mother was a stay at home mom and did all the cooking. When I got out on my own, I was clueless in the kitchen. I vowed not to make the same mistake as she did and have both of my kids in the kitchen on a regular basis.
