Some people say cold drinks affect our health too. How true is that, I wonder?

Depends on the weather. If it's cold and damp, hot drinks are great. But I wouldn't want a hot coffee on a hot summer day.

I love hot coffee, yerbe mate, hot cocoa, and tea. As far as cold drinks go I love sweet tea (iced tea), water, and iced coffee.

I love a nice hot chocolate with ice...I get the best of both worlds.
Also a good shot of whisky with ice topped up with hot water, very relaxing.
Try it... -

I love trying different teas but they have to be hot. I like cold drinks too but only with a little ice. Lukewarm is supposed to be the healthiest temperature to drink at.

I have really sensitive teeth so I usually don't drink hot drinks until they cool off or iced drinks until they warm up. lol

I prefer drinking lukewarm or hot drinks. Cold drinks make my stomach aches, maybe because I'm not used to it.

I've never read anything about how cold drinks affect health but I do know that drinking really hot drinks can cause cancer. I wrote a post about it.

I actually drink mostly room temperature stuff. To me it feels cold, but maybe that's because I haven't drank refrigerated liquids in a while.

As far as I know, the trouble with cold drinks is that the body, in order to utilise that drink, needs to heat it up to body temperature before it can be used for anything. So that uses more energy and delays the process of absorbing it or something. So the best temperature to actually make the thirst go away is apparently room temperature, but by golly it's not as nice.
