Hi!
I just finished a new guitar painting. It's done in 24 karat gold, 18 karat gold leaf, silver leaf, and copper leaf.
It's 3D and really cool. =)

You can view better pictures of it at my site:

Here's a really old, really bad joke (I reeeally need to get offline and go to bed):
There's this bartender who keeps people sitting and drinking at the bar by engaging them in conversation, beginning by asking them their IQ.
So, a guy walks in and the bartender asks him his IQ. The guy says 150. So, the bartender talks to him for the next couple hours about philosophy and nuclear physics.
The next guy walks in, the bartender asks him his IQ, and he says 100. So, the bartender talks to him for the next few hours about politics and religion.
Then a third guy walks in. The bartender asks his IQ and the guy says 75, so the bartender says "what kind of guitar strings do you use?" -

I love this work of art of yours. I play guitar, didn't touch it for 20 years and then bought one and restarted. It soothes me when I'm sad and angry and puts me back in harmony. I play very simply but my first guitar idol was Jimi Hendrix. Have written poems on Hendrix et al.

I have been playing guitar since I was about 14 and it's the best relaxation in the world. The best thing about it is you could be playing till you're 90 and still be learning.

Sorry bout the sde tracking...but it's mguitar related
No, my voice is gone at the moment. The whole of the region where I live has a cold, it's winter here.
Í bought a video camera with a zoom mike recently and will get something done soon I hope. I've just gone back to teaching and the last 2 weeks were hell as I'm teching Systems Administration and there's so much preperation. I was hoping to get out and play again last week or so but it's hectic, if I can get a live recording that I like it would be better.
But I've got a couple of very cool new blues's
It's a time thing

I really like your guitar painting. Will you be adding strings and if so, what will you use paint wise? Or, is it a completed work of art right now? Artistic interpretation is freedom. I was simply wondering to see if I would be looking at it again, in the near future. Thanks.
By the way, when I was fourteen, I cut my nails very short and tried playing this instrument for perhaps three days before I decided it wasn't for me. My husband is a bassist and also plays acoustic guitar sometimes. I love music and the instruments. I play a great tambourine though. -
been playing for 22 years. It's the reason why I started blogging (guitarmusings.com). I Think it's the perfect instrument.
