    yes. I feel good.

which one? I was born and raised in England, and now reside in America? I love certain aspects of each country and wish I could spend equal time in both of them. There are lots of things to like about both countries, and things not to like, but then that is life isn't it?
  3. Saem

I love my country, but I don't feel good about the path we have gone down the last eight years. The leadership sacrificed our reputation and credibility abroad all the while trying to eliminate as many liberties as possible in the name of their own paranoid megalomania.

I like my country but feel that it has lost its way for many years.

I love my Country! And I am proud of my Country too.

We have our good things and our bad things, but what country doesn't.

As much as I would like to place all the blame and responsibilities of the bad things on the Leadership chosen for this country the past 16 years or so.

I can't because the key word is Chosen...

It really all boils down to the people that live here and the choices they make!

Which is an awesome freedom in itself.

    Hmm let's see..
Binge drinking, teen pregnancies, knife crime, ASBO's, hoodies.. what's not to like?

Honestly, I quite like it, though I wouldn't be very patriotic about it, it's still my home.
    1. crpitt
      Sounds like home to me

About the same as I like my job, I'd rather be elsewhere but it's not so bad.

I am an Australian living in The Netherlands, I love both countries and at the moment I am in the middle of a dilemma because I am thinking of becoming Dutch but it will mean giving up my Australian citizenship. **pouts**

I am a Mexican living in Germany... Germany is so SAFE in almost everyway, and Mexico isn't... but if I had to choose I would gladly move back to Mexico... too bad my wife doesnt think that way.

I am proud to be an American and I would not live anywhere else.
  14. kat822

  15. MarkPogue
I like my country but I do not love it. I would have been more proud of it had I been born and lived in another era.
I am considering taking up residence in another country.
  16. Artnono

  25. AngieSS
I love my family and friends. I like my country.
  26. BlueSunshine
I've been looking at jobs and cost of living in other countries just in case. I doubt I'll move, unless of course there are talks of a draft. I know that to a lot of people that's sacrilegious, but whatever.
  27. Darkblaze37
    I hate my country
  28. jackpayne
I love my country. But, without strict adherence to the 3 defining issues that make a country--borders, language, and culture--not much to look forward to. There will be no country left to love.
  29. Hangingonahyphen
Yes I love it. I love it for all the good and the bad. The sunset and the slums. The lying politicians and the smiling children. The devastating storms and the drop-dead gorgeous women. I love it with all my heart and I love it from the moment I was born until the day I die. The Philippines is the greatest place on earth, poverty and all.

My country, California, is home to me like no other could be. I tried other states. To me they are all foreign countries. I stayed in places on other continents. But they aren't home. I love the winds that blow here and the mountains that guard the deserts and feed the valleys. I love the friends I have made up and down this coast. This is my country. I will die here.
  31. DanMarius
Because every day it's harder and harder to live here, but every day it's more and more beauty full. We are used with everything, so even if apocalypse comes, we've seen it before.
  32. Skydweller
i also love my country. I wish i could help it in some way or the other.
  33. jialok
    sure i do.
  34. carsonfb
    The scenery = yes
    The freedoms = yes

The current leadership in the executive branch = no
All of my tax money going to invade countries that haven't done anything to us = no
  35. SweetViolet
I did. Then the conservatives and the religious nutters hooked up and destroyed it. I moved away five years ago, intending never to return.
  36. flamingpoodle
Well, I used to hate my country but now things are looking better with our one party state quickly crumbling. We should have a better power distribution after the coming elections which means a more effective nanny state for the dismally poor.

Other than hating all politicians, I love my country. We have the best and the worst people in the world living in one of the most beautiful natural surroundings somehow getting along.
  37. wastedlola
    all respect ^
but i think anyone who loves there country has a problem..

    " roughly quoted - Gore Vidal "
  38. cmars2

Ha as if I have a choice. Let's be patriotic.
    1. wastedlola

I love my country, I love India.
I love everythng that India stands for, diversity, democracy, freedom of speech, universal franchise.
Even though it has several, several problems, I realise that only we can sort them out.
  41. Sebastyne
"Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it." George Bernard Shaw

Having quoted that... I have mixed feelings about my country. I want it to do well, and I want to be proud of it, often I am. There are parts of it that I love, and then there are things I want no part of ever again. Hard to describe. It's a lot like my mother, who is like an embodiment of everything Finnish. I have a love-hate relationship with her too.
  42. NutriGirl
I have dual citizenship and I consider both countries to be my home. And yes, I love both of them, for different reasons, but they are very, very special to me.
  43. Future

I cannot say "LOVE" but I can say I "LIKE" it a lot.
I do believe it has lot's of room for change, growth and improvement
and so does the entire world along with ourselves too.
