I find it hard to believe that so many people are claiming to make a lot with adsense. It baffles me how this is possible, when 99% of people's blogs are small time and most are very crappy (such as mine).
    1. dooby22
i visited ur blog u are not using adsense

any way congrats for ur marriage i hope u are happy with ur new husband

    2. calais50
I used to use adsense on my blog but it is not useful unless you have mad traffic. My husband and I buy lots of advertising on adsense for our business. It is fabulous for finding customers.

What most people don't realize is that AdSense is not a get-rich-quick scheme. I would be quite content with 5$/day. Based on previous discussion around this topic and based on my own experience with my own blog a rate of $0.10 per visitor seems to be a pretty good average....which means that you need a considerable number of visitors to make any serious amount of money.

Let me also remind you of AdSense TOS
    www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms
You are not allowed to disclose click-through rates or other statistics. However, you may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to you.

I agree with you. You actually have to make traffic,of course, in your blog to have more chances of people reading your blog posts and more chances of have more ad clicks.

I actually watched a video from Twitter talking about how to make money from your blogs. You might want to check it. It's on the help page. It's a video by howcast. It's very informative and you might find other ways on making money through your blog aside from Adsense Hope this one helps

    less than $5 a day?

that's quite huge for me. i am not focusing on the adsense pay but rather on the content for traffic.
    1. husdal
Exactly. Quality content brings regular visitors. That's far more important than traffic. And, quality content brings quality ads that visitors are likely to click on. That's my experience.
    2. dooby22
ok guys thnx for this info i want to know now what controls the price of he click?
    3. husdal
Google. And the advertiser who determines the maximum cost-per-click he is willing to pay.
  4. sweetcynic
eh in the last 3 months I've earned a whopping 8 dollars woohoo!!
  5. dooby22

    @dooby22
Have you located the Search utility link found on every BC page? www.blogcatalog.com/search

There are many members here at BC who have "Adsense" blogs and who advise others about monetizing with Adsense. I'm thinking that the quickest way to get an answer to your question may be to locate those blogs and form relationships with the bloggers in question. www.blogcatalog.com/blogsearch/Adsense/

    thnx ...

    y timethief?

It depends what kind of ad it is. Some ads pay you a lot but some pay nothing. For example, "Make $5000 per month working at home" will pay more than "Download free wallpapers".

But I'm very unsuccessful blogger, one of my friend makes a lot of money.
    1. dooby22
@arkafle i totally agree with u about that some advertisers pay a lot and some not
  9. christibroer
    I haven't made a dime.

I finally took all ads off of my blog.. I have tried so many affiliate programs it is stupid... I have done everything I know to get my traffic up great design, SEO, link building, but I know people that have the worst blogs imaginable but hundreds or thousands of hits a day! and they barely put forth any effort!

The only thing I can figure is that the blogs that actually make money just focus on one very narrow subject and drill the heck out of it by saying the same thing a million different ways and boost their relevance super high placing them higher in the rankings. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, some blogs are actually just really great blogs and have great traffic because of that...
    1. dooby22
      @jasonthebaldguy don't give up

try this affiliate program ---> LinkBucks.com

Look at craigslist. It's butt ugly but it gets tons of traffic. A few years ago John Reese said "Crap sells" Look at gofish dot com, he makes thousands a month off adsense. There are millions of internet users who flock to simple, content-rich sites that have no whistles and bells, ugly layouts and lots of text.

I've been making money with Adsense since 2001 or so. I one point I was getting an average of $1300 per month. Today, one of the only sure ways to money with Adsense is when you have a highly popular site with LOTS of traffic. $5 a day is actually not bad. That's $150/month. If you're getting $5/$10 a day, you're doing something right.
  12. celticmusicfan
$5 dollars a day is really decent especially if you aren't blogging for money. As the old rule goes...strive for quality and everything will just follow
    1. nunna3rd
Your absolutely right. I wish I could get $5 a day. That would be great! It's not to shabby at all for extra money these days.
  13. albertmacho
got anyone know about nuffnang here? i use this nuffnang ads but looks like difficult to earn money. i only earn $2 on two weeks. any suggestion?
  14. dooby22
wat kind of advertising u are using albertmacho??
    1. dooby22

I have had this username for a long time. I had it long before people created a negative definition for it in the urban dictionary. I have twice been declared dead and in each case I stole my life back from the grim reaper.
  15. bosdac
Some people claim that they use Adsense to make money. Others state that Adsense is dead, and that it’s time to move on.
My opinion is that you have to decide what sort of business image you want to display to visitors, as well as what mission your business has.
At times the click thru rate of your adsense depend on the quality on your website.
  16. dooby22
i don't think that CTR depends only on the quality of your website.

coz there a lot of people who have good and(unique) content but they can't make money

because of the way that they put their ads or their ads are not relevant to their content or they don't have traffic

    in my opinion

    quality + traffic + relevant Ads = $$$ :D
    1. timethief
One would have to be blind, deaf and dumb not to notice the influx of low quality and no quality blogs blogs free hosted on blogspot is growing larger everyday. Given the economic times we live in I don't expect most will be here 6 months from now.

The most common ways touted for accomplishing making an income online are Google Adwords, Affiliate Marketing, Google Adsense, Forex Trading Robots, Surveys and Product Reviews, Article Marketing and selling on ebay.

Making money online onvolves hard work. And very few bloggers have the degree of expertise required to produce quality content that brings in the massive number of hits on advertisements that are required to make a living from blogging. Moreover, the economic realities we now face mean that making an income from blogging is bound to become increasingly more difficult.

In the economic times in which we live easy credit is no longer available, so I think it’s reasonable that some companies have cut back on their advertising budgets, and we can expect the number of people clicking on ads will decrease.

You will never make a significant income from blogging if you lack expertise in a specific niche and you do NOT know how to:
      * be a skillful blogger, who can actually write well;
      * create an archive full of high quality original content;
      * structure a search engine optimized posts and blog;
      * promote your blog effectively via social networks and other means;
      * establish and maintain a faithful and growing readership (organic traffic).

I don’t think there is a single best way to make money by blogging. I think the nature of the blog, the niche it’s in, and the quality of the contents are all factors that go into selecting the combination of advertising and affiliate plans that may be workable for any given blog.
  17. Myraaso
I haven't made much, but I'm putting more focus on my posts, as said earlier, quality posts and everything else will follow.
    1. dooby22
      yeah i agree with you

Google Adsense need both patience and hard work
    2. PetLvr
I think you are right about the "patience" but if you "work hard" at adsense, then you are doing it all wrong. It's not about the adsense that you have to work hard - it's the content.

PS.. it's been a month now, and you still have no avatar?
  18. dooby22
yeah that Wat i meant by hard work

and about the avatar i will put one soon
    1. PetLvr
When you say soon ... is that less than 30 days? less than 60 days?
  19. dooby22
is there is such company that pay for page impressions only instead of pay per click ??

if anybody knows don't hesitate to share it
  20. Sylvia
If you can't make money with AdSense, why don't you try selling your own advertising on your site?

If you have no success doing that, then take a good hard look at your website or blog and fix what needs to be fixed.

There is sooooooooooooooooooooo much money being spent on digital advertising, that anyone can make a decent income from a good site.
  21. bigdreamer1
It's nice to know that I am not the only one who isn't earning anything with adsense. I have earned a whopping $.18 cents or so on mine. The good things is that I blog because I love writing. Making money was never my goal.
  22. volleypc
woohoo.. I just checked my account.. I am now up to $36 bucks since I started my blog 11 months ago. I guess I am going to have to start a "Plan C" for my retirement.
    1. dooby22
      ha ha ha
  23. weblogian
If you can't earn $100 a month through Adsense means delete your focus on making money thru your blog.
  24. deoangel
Click my avatar and check out my site. I just join a 100% adsense revenue sharing program. All I have to do is submit my blog posts and it does all the work. I earned $8.00 today. It may not seem like much, but it does add up.
  25. dooby22
i don't get it i put my articles there then traffic come to me OK that is good

(100% adsense revenue sharing program) does that mean they share their revenue with me

    explain more plz

    2. dooby22
      no think u are right
  27. loans4u
    depends on traffic
  28. LittleRusski
$5 a day is quite good, actually. I made £10 in 6 months and frankly haven't checked my google account for ages. :)))
    1. dooby22
      i saw ur fashion blog

it is very good actually , i wonder how u are not making money with that blog !!!
  29. daryanto70
i have $ 1 a day from adsense (not bad)
    1. Adrie7
How did you do it..? That's GREAT for me...
  30. Tayman
Making money with adsense is a numbers game. If you can figure out how to make $5 a day from a site, duplicate the process and create many more sites that do the same...

If you want to get better with this, you have to study SEO (search engine optimization). It's *mainly* about obtaining as many high quality links with the proper anchor text from a site that is relevant to your site.

If you are determined to make money online from blogs, don't give up! It is a learning process. Keep testing new things and study as much as you can. Webmasterworld.com and digitalpoint.com is a good place to start.
