When do you need a holiday? Will it get your mind off work or problems?

I am taking this Wednesday off and going to school with my Daughter. I'm very excited and can't wait.-

everybody needs a holiday, a time for themselves and get away from the usual especially when you are feeling so stressed or else you will suffer burn out. -
Around here we call a mistake a "Holiday". At least in my line of work

definitely!!!!!!!
but thingkin of it, i'm saving my vacation leaves, and by January
i'll have an extra 2 months salary! :-D -
i need a six month vacation. that wouldnt help financially but it sure would be sweet to not have to worry about being on someone else's time schedule. -

My life is stress-free enough not to require holidays, really, but I do need to get back into my old travel-to-see-friends-&-family circuit. I skipped my bro this year (as it's MORE than his turn to come here for a change,) so I think NYC's up next. -
Holidays makes me more lazy....
I prefer my works to be stressed so that I can be active all day.-

and not only work problems but alot of other problems too. i just need a break even if it is a holiday. just to get over the stress and everything you know . pshh but i love thanksgiving! -

I just got back from Holiday and it was so needed. I completed writing the rough draft of my book a couple of weeks ago and was so drained afterward. I spent the last two weeks by the sea and feel so refreshed now! I am ready for anything! -
We have obligations towards the family: kid's education - work etc. So sometimes, we go on short trips to the islands.....tropical island. The big ones, are done during school holidays.
I don;t need a holiday because of problems. Problems will always be there; it ends when we exit this planet. Humans need problems to interact and discover new ideas. Problems are opportunities. I have a weight problem now .... can;t go on holiday...so I have been out jogging in the morning.-
I suppose you don't need a holiday because of problem. Sounds sensible. Problems will always be there. Someone told me you have to walk through the problem to solve it. Probably right!

Actually, the upcoming holidays are causing my problems--my family is already in a pitched battle over what we're doing for Christmas. I'm about ready to opt out and go spend the day alone on a beach somewhere....

I so need a holiday. I have been away from my family and friends for months. The holiday will give me a chance to come back and visit them again. I also need a holiday because my fiance is in school and very busy. The holiday will give him a break so that we can finally spend some time together!

Yes! and I have a brief one planned. -
I had one last month. The day after we got home, my husband was hospitalized with an infection that was exacerbated by the cold he caught on holiday...it reduced his immune system. The day after he was able to return to work, I caught his germ, first a flu, then a cold, then a chest wheezy thing. Took two weeks to get over it.
I'm thinking we should take our Christmas holiday at home where we know the germs and have some resistance to them!!-
Holidyaing at home would be fun!

i don't need a holiday, I need a vacation. -
i think everyone should take a break for vacation, especially if he/she
has worked very hard and for a long period of time.
it's good to de-stress; our bodies need time to heal.
Personally, a vacation always help me alot (mind, body, soul)
I always feel energized and have that zest in me to start working again!!!

I do not take las-minute holiday. I do plan for it, not to "let go" of work but to connect up with family members.Seeing the most closely-related family members enjoying themselves is worth the break.-

I've been thinking about going wilderness camping soon with just myself and my camera. I think it's good to get away from the world sometimes.

I just got back from a 4 day camping trip in the Lake District with 6 of my friends, we also went camping in Rome a few weeks ago. Could not have asked for a better time, no one talked about work or problems back at home, we just enjoyed each day as it came. Was truely amazing x
