I have created a team blog and one of our blog author writes simple poems.
I can't write poems but I have great interest in meaningful poetry.
Here is the the link to the best poem on my blog :

I write tiny thought-poems/aphorisms. A kind of Western haiku. Just click on my avatar if you'd like to read them.

Unfortunately, I am not very good at poetry. I did write a limerick and posted it once:

There was a nice lady named Suzie
    who apparently wasn't so choosy.
    She married a pr!ck
    and calls him Dick.
Now her blood stays boiling and oozy.

Now you see why I stay away from poetry?

Thank you Suzie. It certainly made me smile, and is truly a great introduction to your blog.

Suzie, I've read you for a while.
Wanna say - you still make ME smile.
      (Hope this isn't too crass
but you're one heck of a lass)
      Even your hits
      on poor ol' Dick,
you do with humor and style.
    4. MissSuzie
      @db: Uh, try again.

      @Quiet: Thank you!

@Rivy: Haha! Love it! You are one heck of a man (and I mean that with all due sincerity).

I write poems and I write about writing poems.

My poetry is on a separate "subject" page from my day-to-day blog.

I really enjoyed reading them and I think my favorite was Grandpa (1990). It truly made me smile and I felt like I could almost know Charlie. Thank you

    yes...

"I will meet you yet again
    How and whereI know not
Perhaps I will become a figment of your imagination
    and maybe spreading myself
in a mysterious line on your canvas
I will keep gazing at you. "

Can someone please explain to me how my comment was off topic? My grandmother's blog is a poetry blog that I put together in honor of her. Obviously someone has an issue with literacy and didn't read the full comment. I don't do poetry my grandmother who died did.
  13. Bassagirl
Most of the posts on my blog are of my paintings accompanied by poems and vignettes.
  14. Rivy
I echo Bassagirl. And I definitely am inspired by her. Her words, her poems, her images, gives me the energy and motivation to keep doing my own. It is one of the rewards of blogging. To find such fellow artists/writers and to connect.

I have some poems posted. You can access them easily from the left side of my blog under the poetry heading. There are six of them listed there. The comments aren't closed on any of them either, so feel free to let me know what you think.

    Peace,
    JB

No, but I maintain a "song of the now" on my BC profile, which contains the lyrics to, well, the song of the now: A song that I've discovered that is either really good or really bad (in these cases, it's posted for the sake of irony).
  17. ranist22
Yes, I do, since mine is a poetry blog, complemented by photos taken by me.

Every now and then. It's pretty doggone bad but it's good to get those feelings out.
  19. Frozencove
I posted a few poems today to try it out.
I wanted to post a poem months ago. Every time I search for one, I change my mind. There's something about reading poems I wrote a long time ago that causes me to stop and tell myself after I edit them.
So today I just went with the nice breeze outdoors and posted a few I wrote today.

    The Virgin

When I moved into your bed I was not alone
    --- there weretwo of us
A married woman and a virgin
    To sleep with you
I had to offer the virgin in me
    I did so
    This slaughter is permissible
    in law
    Not the indignity of it
And I bore the onslaught of
    the insult
    The next morning
I looked at my blood stained
    handsI washed my hands
But the moment I stood before the mirror
    I found her standing there
The one whom I thought I had slaughtered last night
Oh God!Was it too dark in your bed
I had to kill one and I killed the other ?
  27. michaelwillow
    Yes kinda.
I post the lyrics of the songs I have. You can check it here

I frequently publish poetry in The Wordsmith's Forge. I also hold a monthly Poetry Fishbowl, when people give me prompts and I write poems based on those ideas. You can see the poems here:

The most recent after-fishbowl report is here:
