I recently started a blog where I review business/money making books that I read.

I LOVE business books. I've learnt from them much more than I have from ebooks and other products I've purchased online, which sometimes have even turned out to be scams.

I'm not saying that there isn't valuable content to be found online, only that the variation in quality is much higher than when you purchase a book that has been published -and therefore hopefully reviewed by an expert in the topic.

What do you think? Do you favor ebooks because their content may be more up to date? Are books too long and boring to grab anybody's attention for too long?

I'm genuinely interested in this topic, so I'd love to hear your opinion on it. Thanks!

No not ever - I tried some and they were either dull and boring or full of unrealistic hype.

Right, I've heard the same complaint before. I totally agree that some of them are too dense. I tend to enjoy them anyway, but that's because I'm a personal-finance geek

The only "money" book I've read is Smart Couples Finish Rich by David Bach... and I thought it was great. It's certainly not a "money making" book it's more of a personal money management book, but it's a relatively quick and easy read and makes some great, basic suggestions to improve your every day money management.

I haven't read that one, but I've read The Automatic Millionaire, also by David Bach. I found it great, it talked about very simple things that could make a huge different in the long run (in financial terms), such as the power of compound interest.

In my opinion, many of us bloggers and would-be money-makers tend to overestimate the amount of money we can make online and to underestimate the returns of doing simple changes in our financial lives.

Do you find them useful? More or less than the type of information you can get usually for free online?
