Do you reply the comments on your Blog?

When you get a comment on your blog's post, do you reply to it?

I reply as soon as I can but that may not be immediately after I moderate the comment and post it. I work online so I'm multitasking and I usually answer comments after work.-

Nearly always. I think a lot of comment makers would like a response or acknowledgement.-

yup... usually conversations start in the comments which is always nice...plus people can ask cooking questions which is helpful too.-

If a reader says "that is a really lovely building", I cannot be bothered answering "yes, it certainly is".
If a reader asks "who was the architect of that building, when was it built and what building material was used?", I scramble as quickly as I can for a complete answer. a] The reader deserves to be answered properly and b] I should have included the core information in the first place.-
Great reply. I was running out of replies to 'nice blog' (not that I am getting many comments, shhhh!)

For a "nice blog" comment I usually respond "thanks for dropping by, hope to see you again".
I usually try and reply to all comments some of best conversations and connections have grown from a simple "nice blog" comment.

I always reply back to the comments that I receive. At times the reply may not be immediate. Sometimes due to various reasons I may reply after a couple of days, but I do make sure to reply to a comment.-

alot of the time if they need a reply. If they are a statement like your dog is so cute or something like that then no. but if I get a request for more info about bees or a recipe then yes-

I wasn't too but I think I learnt from the 'experts' on the forum that we all should reply to the comments.

I do reply to comments but I delete those comment which adds all their link to be placed in my blog.
i had one comment in my fruit juice blog, this person was putting all his many link related to insurance that has got nothing to do with my blog so I deleted it-

Depends what mood I am in and what post it is, I either reply to comments, comment on their blog, send an email or shout to them or do nothing except read and enjoy them.
If anything is question related then I think it is nice to respond in some way. Although after nearly 3 years of blogging I sometimes can't be arsed. -
since i'm a newer blog, i've been trying to reply to comments, but i really wish blogger had a "reply" button at the end of each comment (like the threads here) so that it makes it easier to respond to each actual comment. i've also been commenting back on that person's blog, just in case they don't come back to look at a comment they've already posted.-

Whenever I have the chance, I comment back and visit their blog to see what they have. But sometimes I have this annoying problem, that I can't place a comment. In this case there are several options:
If they are on BC...I shout
If they have an email...I'll email
Otherwise I just reply to the comment on my blog and hope they come back or that they clicked on the little box to get updates ^_^. -
I reply if there is something to reply to. I always leave a comment back in return for any comment that I receive. After all, every blogger likes to get comments -

Yes. Now that I have my comments feature fixed so I can respond to comments. It is a great way to interact and connect with existing contacts as well as generating new contacts to interesting blogs & sites. -
I always reply but I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. I usually respond on my own page but then I wonder whether the "commentator" is receiving notification of the response or whether they have to return to my page. I'd love to know. Rest assured, every comment is replied to.-

Some of the sites and blogs I visit have 'Notify me of follow up comments via e-mail' check box for the visitors who leave comments. I only enable this box if I left a comment on an on going discussion on a post and would like to stay in touch.

And I have more time to respond in the comments section than to do a lot of blog visiting.
Plus it keeps the conversation contained. As a result, I have a fairly active comments section for both the blogs. -
If it merits a response ( aka, it's not just a yes/no answer) I will respond often. Right now it's been slow getting comments. I have a lot of readers, but scattered comments. -

i have them disabled, i tend to get some off the wall stuff, that has nothing to do with the post. so i disabled them all together! most of my readers are feed anyway!

I did at first, then I asked in comments one day if anyone was reading my answers and only two people answered me so I stopped. I usually go to their blog in answer in their comments now. -

I reply to almost all comments. One of my main purposes with my blog is to engage the audience in discussions. I am always pleased to hear their thoughts and reply, although it may not be an immediate response.
