Do you see faces?

Ever since I can remember I've seen "faces" in the patterns of wallpaper and vinyl flooring as well as wooden doors etc.
I can't help it, they just appear...
I was wondering if anyone else experience this phenomina?

Yup, it's called "pareidolia," and it's hardwired into all of us.

I think it's natural to see faces in patterns. Now if those faces start taking on a malevolent appearance, or talking to you, there might be a reason for alarm.

Yes, I've done this all my life. Back in the day when knotty pine wall paneling was in vogue, it used to drive me nuts - I'd see faces all over the walls. To this day I loathe knotty pine!

I'm not very fond of faces and yet, I see many beautiful faceless people, but hell, they make a lot of noises, a lot and a lot and a lot of it!-
Thank you, jan4insight, I don't actually feel "pain" as such, more mystery and curiosity.

Oh, I used to always see faces in the patterned drapes in my grandfather's house.
And take a look at most automobiles-- they tend to have facial expressions, both with the headlights and the tail lights. -
My daughter's closet door has a face in it. For years I thought about selling it on Ebay as a Jesus door. LOL!!!!
We ended up covering it with a wavy mirror from IKEA because my daughter said it creeped her out.-

I see faces in patterns too. Sometimes its a good way to pass the time if you're sitting in a public toilet LOL. Stare at the floor and look for faces.

I know what you mean, I dont see faces as such.. I lot of shawows distract me because the look like humon figures..the onyl faces I have ever seen was on my windows.. it was foggy with a face shape.. yeah freaky.. but hey.. -
Yup, when I was little I use to sit at the bathroom and stare at the floor. My tile had a very big nose. -

Yes, of course, don't we all? LOL!! My husband and I lay in bed in the morning just before we get doing and we talk about our day and often point out the faces in the plaster in the ceiling. :)) Did you ever play that game: "Can you find it?" -

HOLY CRAP! Yes I do see faces. (None of my friends every understand wtf I'm talking about when I tell them about this.)
Yeah, I can find faces in chocolate chip cookies and stupid stuff like that, but yes if I look at (ie) wallpaper, or a blanket that's crumpled a certain way, sometimes I will see a flash of a very realistic face. Sometimes it's gory and creepy too...-
Yeah, me to with the blankets! Usually I see animals, cats & dogs...
