Hello fellow bloggers.
I think most of you already familiar with my tech business blog: Boldinvestors!
www.boldinvestors.com/

Anyway I'm thinking of monetizing my blog using PayPerPost, is it any good? Has anyone here actually got paid using that service?
One of the things that I don't like about the service is that it sort of destroys the entire blogging experience since you write about stuff that advertisers tell you they want you to write about.
Please give me your opinion.

I hope you like my blog and feel free to leave any suggestions or comments.

Thanks.

you can read what new PayPerPoster Absolutely True has to say on PPP:

    Gerri just posted this today....

Thanks for the interesting link cymrusteve! I read that and it summarizes what I know about PPP. I don't think my blog qualifies completely as of yet.

Funny story about the larynx. I'll have to see more of that site. Are they part of blogcatalog yet?

I've done quite well using PayPerPost.

This type of marketplace will destroy the "blogging experience" only if you let it. Your blog is yours; the content is yours. In order to maintain the quality of your blog and its content, choose advertising opportunities that you would blog about even if you were not being paid. You're not required to do any opps that don't interest you.

It's really up to the blogger to maintain his or her ethics, in this situation or any other. If you're selective in the opps you take and honest in what you right, nothing is destroyed.

If you still believe that PayPerPost or the many other Pay2Blog programs and marketplaces are destroying the blogosphere, then maybe it isn't the right program for you.

    Hi yarinh!

You might want to go back and read the PPP site. You must first qualify to write blog posts for their advertisers thru them. My blog just qualified on the timeline front. I believe there is more to do to be accepted.

And then too, you can write what you like - either positive or negative - on an advertiser. The requirements have more to do with the amount you write and the timeliness of your post.

That is all from memory so you might want to verify - things do change from time to time as well. Best to get the real info from the actual site. They have a blogcatalog profile which goes to their blog. I've posted a comment there and their Alexa ranking is pretty high.

    Food for thought,

PayPerPost doesn't allow my website to participate. I hate when a sponsor set a certain rules and decide who's in or out. PayPerPost don't worst to try!

Yarinh, you are the one that's ACCEPTING the review. If you don't want to write about it, you don't have to.

Keep in mind the need for full disclosure, at least if you want to maintain your integrity with your readers.

I was going to tell you I just posted about this today but Steve was on the ball and beat me to it I just started, but yeah, I see the benefits. I like the fact that you control the advertising verses other advertising methods that junk up your site and make it look tacky.

how long does it takes for my post to be approve? i have 2 pending for like 1 week plus already. like there is no respond?
    1. scorpy01
It can take a while to be approved. You get paid 30 days after you submit, not after you're approved, so you'll be fine.

The reviewers take one opp and review all the blog posts for that opp. If yours isn't approved then neither are any of the others for that opp. Just be patient.

yeah i've got 3 pending too. thanks for the explanation scorpy01..

If you have good google pagerank like 4 to 6, your oppt will be highly than the rest and will have more chances, but now adays payperpost seems saturated with many members, so chances are that a featured oppt or oppt be taken upon and making money with them will be diffcult.

They have over 80,000 bloggers or posties as they call them, and approximately 12,000 advertisers according to the figures they posted on their blog a few weeks back.
Because of the google smackdown on page rank, most posties lost theirs, and there are not enough opps to go around right now. They are launching social spark in a week to a few weeks, which will be totally different than just the regular marketplace they currently have.
They will still have the marketplace where you can select which opps you want, but social spark will be different.
You can check out social spark here; www.socialspark.com/
They have a quicktime movie you can watch which explains how social spark will work.

    thanks for the explanation scorpy01.

yes it took so long, i try others like smorty, within 4-5 days my post approved and get paid directly the same day. but too bad, smorty doesnt offer much opportunity. i have complete 2, then i dont have any more.

I use some others, too, but PayPerPost offers the best marketplace. It's worth the time it takes to learn the system.

I use payperpost as well and am very satisfied with my experience so far. It is up to the individual blogger on what opps they will or will not write about. So, you control what you put in your own blog. If you stay true to your blog, then it's a great system to be a part of.

I've tried payperpost and even though it can be good for monetizing your site it takes away from the focus of your blog. I haven't taken a paid post in months and I am much happier for it. My pocket maybe a little lighter but in the end you have a better chance of satisfying your readership if you don't take paid posts.
