Do you believe "they" are real?
Do you hope to "see" one to believe?
Would you believe a close friend or relative if they have seen one?

If they ARE indeed real...can you handle the truth?

Unidentified flying objects? Yes. Space ships from another planet? No.
    1. Anok
Why not? Is it impossible to believe that there is intelligent life out there?

I mean, I don't know why they'd come visit us, but that doesn't mean they don't exist
    2. voodooKobra
I never said there is no intelligent life out there, Anok. However, I have doubted whether or not there is intelligent life on Earth.

True, universe is too damn big. Human beings have only been around for a second on the cosmic scale.
  2. Svelmoe
I do think there is life in the universe.

Whether they fly here in small-dinner-plate-looking-spacecrafts showing themselves for dubious or drunk people, and then anal-probing them, while all looking like they do in the movies - extremely doubtful.

I haven't got a clue. I know I saw one but it didn't occur to me that it was from outer space, more like my eye was tricked by elements that I couldn't fathom out. For a ufo to be established as something real it has to stop being unidentified. As for handling the truth, lol, sure but until then I shall plod on and wait till hell freezes over and the pigs fly and if they do, so be it.

All my life, I have believed that Aliens exist, and that they are visiting us. I went through my "Area 51" phase, where I was reading everything I could find on UFO's, Alien Abductions, Close Encounters, Reverse Engineering, Roswell.... etc. I was sure that I could handle the truth.

Then one night, as I was looking up at a clear night sky with a fair number of stars, but not like when you are positioned to look directly into the Milkyway Galaxy. Thats when I noticed a ligh moving on the horizon... in barely a second, it traveled straight across the sky, about 3 quarters of the way from horizon to horizon, and without stopping made a 90 degree turn and shot all the way back over the horizon behind me.

I would have ruled this out as a satellite... but they do not change direction. And the directional change was so fast, it was like watching a bullet ricochet off of a steel plate.

At first it was excitement, but then as the reality of what I had just seen and could not rationalize sank in... it was a wierd feeling of fear and uncertainty. How much of what we have seen in the movies was true? How advanced was thier technology? Were they hostile or benign? Did they view us any differently than we view animals in wild as we observe them?

I mean, we do not attempt to communicate with a squirrel or a crow or a rabbit. We do not attempt to exchange technology with them... we do not even attempt this with highly isolated tribes of humans.

So if I was ready to know... and had difficulty, I can scarcely imagine what the less educated and highly suspecious and fearufl general population would do in the face of full disclosure of "the TRUTH". We as a race are getting better, but we are not ready to know let alone take our place among the true space faring entities out there.
  5. preaxz
Sure ... but they are beyond our power so we can't find them till today.
You know what, they read this discussion also and now they LOL
  6. HalfCrazy
I think there's life out there besides Earth. Who knows, there might be a planet far away with little green people with blue fingers.
  7. TheCrazyKitchen
    UFO = Unidentified Flying Object

An unidentified flying object could be anything. Hell, it could be that piece of spaghetti some home cook threw against the wall to see if it was ready (which of course is not a good indicator), if the person seeing it didn't know what it was.

Extraterrestrials on the other hand? My vote is still not in. I believe it is possible, however I have never seen anything to make me believe they exist.
  8. judyaulin
Of course they are ... how do u explain all the sightings
  9. dinsquared
It'd be cool if they were, and I don't discount that there may be life on another planet, but no. Aliens have not visited earth.
  10. donkage
humans are so arrogant to believe that we are the only life in the entire galaxy. there are billions of earth-like planets(story was just featured on cnn, drudge, yahoo etc) and to still have the belief that we are the one and only is just as bad as believing the earth was flat. i think if people are ready for a black president, we should be ready for full disclosure and the truth.
  11. LynneaUrania
I've seen UFO's and they were probably man-made. But whenever I talk about these object to other people they look at me like my daughter who has been convinced from the beginning that I'm from the planet Arkanon.

One year I spotted one of these objects and trained a 4-1/2" Newtonian on it. And whaddayaknow? It was Apollo 7. I could make out most of the details in the light of the setting sun.
  12. audiofish
Why is it that only americans think they've seen UFO's?

I bleive that there is a good chance of aliens but they haven't come to earth yet. As no aliens have contacted us I think we are the most advanced life in the universe. Also if other life is out there that was capable of flying spacecraft they would have to be human like to build i.e. they'd need hands.
    1. MadScientist
By hands, you mean opposable thumbs... ..After all, many higher primates have opposable thumbs but can't build anything more complex than a stick to fend off rivals and straws to pull ants and termites ouf of thier mounds.
  13. Stillthinking
I believe in life out in the universe. I am huge sci-fi geek though and believe that if they came to Earth, they are up to no good!
  14. MadScientist
I think that there are clear gaps in the evolutionary chain for MAN. Why would it not be possible to consider that we were planted here and allowed to evolve in rough isolation where our development could be observed.

Much like we get excited about the prospect of a ferrel child. We study thier lack of social skills, language, writing, ability to form emotional attachment. Is it so far fetched to consider that we are being observed in the same fashion?

We culture brine shrimp (sea monkeys), we culture viruses, bacteria, mice, and many much higher animals and observe thier behaviors in an effort to better understand them. Who is to say that we are not in a proverbial laboratory so that the universe can study evolution of higher organismss so that they may better understand themselves.

Now I can indulge my paranoia and feel good about myself. Thank you, MSc!

To think that we are the only ones out here is being self centered. Yes, there exists UFO's, life on Mars, and the Lochness Monster.

If anyone is curious and want to "see" beyond the UFJV (unidentified flying junk videos) that comes out on the internet sometimes, take some time and watch some of the videos I carefully picked for my blog.

No, I don't have adsense, so no e-begging here. This is an ad-free, non monetized blog.

    Thanks

I used to blog about them. Now I've changed my approach, it's not my fault if people can't see them, they'll just have to rewire their thoughts

  19. Kingjoe
@Lady swan. I'm a strong believer in many things without experiencing it first hand. But when it comes to something that is semi-farfetched i need to see proof to believe it. Please do not take this personally as i do not like attaching people it is against my morals. Yes the universe is massive and there may be something out there. Think of it like this. In our galexy there is only one planet that is capable of sustaining life. Earth. The odds of there being another planet similar to earth is high. But if soething is possible does it necessarily mean its true? ask yourself that question.
If i told you i was a real King and I'm blogging because i'm bored of my life as a King does it mean its true. will you believe me or will you need proof??

Unidentified Floating Object?? Haha... Not flying lol...

Yup, i strongly believe in it.. The universe it way too huge. There are many things on earth that even humans haven't discovered yet. So what's the probability of the existence of other life form in other planet or even on earth?

I bet there are some living among us. It's just that we don't know.. or we never will...
  22. windroot
Why not time machines from our own planet coming back from the future to check us out? This solves the problem of the vast distances involved in space travel. I grant you there are still a few kinks to work out, but it's a theory.
  23. mikeny07
I was always pretty much 50/50 on this.

I think things are being covered up though for sure. The ships appear too small most of the time. They also move as if they are being remote controlled by someone.

If aliens exists, why no flag on the Moon or signs they were ever there? Why no exploration on any planets in our solar system except ours? Why travel accross the universe and stay here for less than 1 minute and then leave? A lot of it makes no sense at all. If they are real, they act very strange.
    1. donkage
why would aliens waste resources on putting a flag up on a useless rock orbiting earth? your thinking way to egocentric that humans are such an advanced being. were still primitive so aliens would rather leave us be and see how we develop rather than coming now. knowledge earned is worth more than knowledge given to you without earning it.
    2. MadScientist
      @mikeny07

Mike throughout history, both recorded and in prerecorded history, there are examples of cave paintings, Egyptian Hyroglyphs, songs, stories handed down then written down, and for an very long time, people have been reporting sightings and abductions to the local and national authorities. Does that in itself prove the existence? NO... but it certainly lends credibility to it.

Also, there is no question that any Alien coming to this planet indeed had to travel a minimum of 4 light years (Alpha Centari) but more likely the next nearest class M planet is 20+ light years away. So if THEY are real, and THEY are visiting us for who knows what purpose, they are either planning long trips (suspended animation) OR they are folding space through the use of artificial black holes to punch through the known "Space Time Continuum". This not only supports visitors from far away, but also lends credibility to the theory put forth by Windroot. If they have punched through this plane of existence (ie SPace Time) then they could not only be coming from far, but may also be coming from an alternate TIME or alternate time and space.

But for any race/species to be advanced enough to do that, its not likely that just because they disappear that they are GONE or that they LEFT. I could go into great detail and explain a technology to you that would make stealth look like a lego block set compared to a B2... but if your interested, we could have that conversation in another thread.

I think there were UFO sightings recently in Ireland; if there were UFOs coming from a distant galaxy that would make these aliens pretty old as it would have taken them something like 1000 years to come all the way here, which would make them pretty stupid therefore I refuse to believe in visiting aliens as a proof of "intelligent life" beyond our planet because, really, who would waste 1000 years of their life to come down here unless they are pretty stupid?
The only way any "intelligent" aliens are coming here is if they have mastered the laws of time travel and that, I really want to get acquainted with them if only to win the lotto!
  26. infowebexplore
i do not really know if they exist or not, i do not wish to see them(probably we would not understant very well each other), and furthermore, the most reliable UFO's show up in America. Something is going on there:)
  27. acousticguitarist
    yes yes yes

The issue that is quite daunting which very few people realise is the quantity of craft.
  28. thereseolof
Can't be that we are the only species in the whole universe, I actually believe there are some extra terrestrial life out there that we didn't yet encounter and we may never will.
    1. infowebexplore
yeap,,but scientifically it was not discovered. considering that the univers goes to infinity, also the number of species can be considered infinity:). isn't it?
    2. infowebexplore
THERESE, take care at your blogspot account,,,the post-comment option does not work,,,this is why you do not receive comments on your page.

Another thing is that no probes are floting in space that we ever detected. You would figure if someone would come here and explore us, why ignore the other planets totally? We are exploring them. We got robots on Mars. Mars don't interest them?

In the time since our solar system was here, they never had no interest in Mars or the other planets? Mars may have once had life once in the past. Why would not the aliens send some probe there to explore it?
  30. robinj
never say never although for someone who sees dead people and is a psychic I always struggled with the alien thing not sure why
  31. AkinNuAn
Through research of my book called 'An Alternate History of Time and Space' I have amassed sufficient evidence to suggest that they do exist, yet humans have a preconception of aliens with photon beams coming to take over the planet- This suggestive preconception hinders people's views on the subject.

The mass acceptance of religion has made it 'OK' to believe in claims and stories that bear no logical sense.

Think of it this way- There is more physical proof that fairies exist on this planet than that to prove the existence of any God, yet if I went around saying that 'I truly have 'faith' that fairies exist' I would be seen and judged as a loony. Why? Because it is not accepted on a mass scale- Even though there is more factual evidence of them existing than any extremely non-logical religious claim
    1. 22050hz
Well, I think if one wants to understand the seriousness of this issue, one has to begin with an open mind, and I mean OPEN to the point that you have to put away any preconceptions of things we are already aware of as human beings.
Forget your knowledge of time, matter, space, distance, being, world, galaxy.

I invite all to watch this and please leave your comments.

Neil Gold has some lofty hopes. In reality I doubt that will happen. Interesting though. We'll see.

Sure. Been visited. They tend to revisit & explore throughout your lifetime. No biggy. First time scared the crap out of me though.

  33. NatetheGrate
Of course, it doesn't matter what anybody thinks. All that really matters is what is and, look, if earth has been visited by aliens, it's by aliens who have perfected warp drive. They're so far ahead of us in technology, they probably think we're like infants or even like plants. We humans have a lot of other things to fix before we start worrying about organisms like that!
  34. Chucklington
I've always loved the subject, and the thought of alien of abduction has given me nightmares in the past, but to honest, while I believe there's surely intelligent life out there somewhere, I don't believe we've ever been visited by it.
  35. Chucklington
    Sorry, double post!

UFO's are man made...far advanced stuff we haven't seen yet!
