   There are many ways to make money from blogs, Adsense being only one of many. Adsense works for me, but it may not work for you. It really depends on what your goal is and what kind of blog you have. In terms of generating $$$ I have found Commission Junction better than Adsense.

   Yeah affiliate marketing like Clickbank are the best unless you are trying to sell an affiliate marketing related product.

   There is another little known method of monetization: CPA networks. You've all seen them...they are everywhere. What most bloggers do not know is they are similar to Adsense....but they pay upwards from a dollar a click.
   
   These require some work and *dancing* to get involved in. They aren't a no brainer like Adsense. But, in terms of income, they certainly can be worth the time involved.     Adsense is one of the successful way to make money from your blog. I think adsense will be more comfortable if you are a beginner.
    For me, private ad sales and adsenes worked better!
