    thats right... meditation should become a part of our daily life just as we say the prayers, have food, bathe, wash the dishes, etc.. It enhances the beauty of life by not allowing negativities to dwell in for long..

    It is amazing how even a few minutes of focused meditation can help clear our minds of the clutter of daily life. So many of the emotions we feel are just static stemming from a past experience or present worry. Giving our mind a chance to slow down lets us realize how trivial most of what we hold so tightly to really are.

    Qigong is an incredible practice also, a form of moving meditation. It is a way to feel the connection of our body with the energy around us. I highly recommend anyone trying it if they have a chance.

    Especially when you are in the middle of the crossroad and need to decide which path to take.

    Yes, meditation is good for the mind but I prefer to sleep than to meditate.

    I think meditation is very important. It's interesting that by sitting and breathing, just being aware, I can change my brain state - literally - from beta to alpha.

    Meditation is different from sleep. In sleep, you are atleast in Delta. Meditation, however, has a vital role in the optimal performance of a human being. It creates the perfect mindset for learning quickly and efficiently, thus can also be used in hypnosis for suggestions to break bad habits, etc, reduces stress (very important as stress affects our physical health).

    Idealpinkrose, if you like to watch TV, that will have you reaching Alpha state. Why do you think so many people watch TV? Just for entertainment? No! It actually relaxes the brain. But don't relax too much! We're humans, not slugs!

    Yes the mind synchs into alpha waves when watching TV. Ideal to slip in all types of propaganda.
