Do you think the eBook Market is alive?

I have been disappointed by the poor response from the traditional book publishers so I opted for the ebook market. Do you think one can make good sales from the eBook market? What's your experience?

The ebook market is very well alive. The content of the Ebook is very important. I think those scam e-books telling people how to get rich quick is a vastly decreasing market. -
Once you have completed writing and publishing your book, it is all about marketing and promoting. List your book on Amazon and join the Advantage program. Consider buying John Kremer's book, 1001 Ways to Market Your Books. John has a fantastic seminar Book Marketing seminar at the end of May. If you are in the New York area, consider going to the BEA - Book Expo of America. You can pitch your book directly to publishers. -
Hi AuthorsCoach, i (personally) think that ebooks are great, but i wouldn't give up reading "physical books", i enjoy reading books a lot.
Selling 10 000 copies of a physical book is quite extraordinary, while selling 10 000 ebooks is great it's not as extraordinary as sellling 10 000 copies of a book, it can pull some really healthy profits though and in way less time, than traditionnal market. One thing i'm a little more concerned about is the fact the ebooks can be downloaded from limewire, meaning no profits to the authors. Physical books can't be downloaded.
To answer you question, yes i think it is very possible to make good money selling ebook(s), either your own ebook(s), or other peoples' ebook(s). Lulu.com is great, but there are tons of ways to sell a ebook, amazon, like you said, is one good way. Running a high traffic blog that has a nice amount of readers can also be a good way to promote an ebook

Never new about eBooks. I write myself when I get the time but never built up the courage to look into publishing my work. Lack of confidence I guess. I am curious to see how this progresses and how many people actually buy eBooks. -
IMHO eBooks is much alive now. It is so easy to buy eBooks and there are so many choices. Most writers would prefer to write ebooks because it is a lot cheaper (production cost) and no stock to worry about.
Design you own or let the pro help you. You could be a ebook write in next to no time at all.
Sell it at reasonable price and you will be amazed on how easy to make money from this trade. eBay is probably one of the best place to sell.
