Yes, I believe one can. But that would totally depend on the content of the article and the key words people are searching for.
Take for example your posting on "understanding search engine". If one googles that term there are 166,000 relevent sites. So your blog article is 1 in 166,000.That is if I put quotes on the phrase. Without the quote marks it is 1,240,000.
"Understanding search engines" (with an s)your article would be 1 in 42,100 with the quotes and 2,050,000 without it.
Of course there are other things that figure into the equation such as page rank etc.
Now if 1000 people had some reason to do an internet search for raffleblog than you would come up number one than your search engine traffic would soar.
Bottom line, it depends on your blog, your keywords, your article, and timing.
Your blog has lots of competition.
These were the most searched for terms so far today by Google:
1. campaign donors
2. march 3
3. dr. seuss
4. van halen tour cancelled
5. campaign donations
6. dr seuss birthday
7. dr. seuss coloring pages
8. who was the first set of siamese or conjoined twin...
9. united technologies
10. follow the money
I have a book blog and could capitalize on some of the search engine traffic for that search term, there are plenty of sites that only talk about Dr Seuss and have already build up traffic so there chances of getting found are greater because Google gives them more weight.
There are other methods to drive traffic to my site however and capitalize on the searches. But this discussion is about search engine traffic. -
I got around 15 - 30 hits from search engine daily. 1,000 page view? that is depend on how many pages they browsed and how many postings you have published. Of course if you have been blogging for years then there is higher chance for you to get 1,000 page views per day. Another factor is Page Rank (PR), from my personal experience the higher your PR the higher the visitors find you from the search engines.
