Keep in mind that we could be eradicated by a 5 mile asteroid, or a well aimed solar flare,
Why don't we just spend more time living instead of complaining of life?

Because it is part of life.

I couldn't agree more angelshair! It's a shame that this is true. Not to say that caution where warranted is a bad idea, but in excess common sense precautions can become sources of much misery. Like Epicurus the Sage said, All things in moderation.

Yes we take it too serious. Now the internet, we don't take that serious enough.

As they say, every day above ground is a good day. Perhaps never so more as in the current world and country in which we live. "Live for today, since there might not be too many tomorrows." I recall that as a line from Lt. Starbuck in the original Battlestar Galactica series. Seems applicable to a degree today.

Sometimes we do. Sometimes, we have to

I don't think it's taken too serious,as much as it isn't ENJOYED...that is what I have been focusing on.

Or maybe it's taken for granted and isn't appreciated enough.

I think we get so caught up in the day-to-day problems minutia that it's good to take a moment now and then to reflect what turned out pretty well, or just savor some of the little positive things more.

So are you saying that we should take "living" more seriously than complaining about life?
  9. alivasim
nope...coz taking lyf seriously dont makes sense...achieving something while enjoying is all i think..

I don't get hung up on when/if I'll die.... I'm ok with death - it is a part of life whether we like it or not. I live each day to the fullest, never hesitate to do something that will bring joy to myself, always tell my family/friends I love them. Anything beyond that is just superfluous.

    I won't die regretting that I never.....I'll die grateful that I LIVED.

From time to time I undergo a weird existential crisis where nothing makes sense and I can't function. To that end, I think I take life way too seriously!

That question is too serious for me to think about.

:-D)))! Yes, for me too! This is why I went to sleep after posting it!

I think that there are a lot of things taken WAY to heavily in life...like our jobs and money.

BUT I think as consumers we take things way to light. Our choices as consumers effect us and usually everyone's response is, "Oh well..."

LIFE, The Composite Of Four Letters And Some Sighs...!

It's Easy To Deliberately Misspell The Word Sometimes, For An Unknown Pleasure. Yet Still, The Poet, With A Self-Proclaimed Pride, Keep On Writing, Erasing & Re-writing On The Canvas Of Life, Perhaps About Blankness Or About Filling The Void!

No. Because a lot of people nowadays want everything ONLY for themselves. The Life means the LIFE of the Whole World, not only yours. So, why don't we try to help each other.

Smoke pot and join a nudist colony. Move to Holland because North Americans take life too seriously.

If nobody occasionaly complained, they would hold it in and eventually explode. It is not good to internalize your problems and not let it out and talk about it.
