Do you use an Mp3 player?

Mp3 players are the in-thing right now. Everyone around me owns one but I don't because I know about the adverse effects (like hearing loss).
Do you possess one?

MrCheeseburger, Yours is always the best response I read in threads.
Anyway, I have a music phone and a PSP, I both use them to play my tunes. And no, I've never experienced any downside (not even occasional deafness or loss of hearing).
Plus I get better relaxation and enjoyment most of the time. -

its not like you are going to lose it in a day or even a week, this is something that happens over time.

I have an Ipod and Hubby has an iriver. I prefer his iriver over my Ipod anyday -
@siralmo, FYI I've been listening to my tunes (before I got my PSP, I was listening only through my phone) for more than three whole years now. Yup, since I was 11. Before that, I used to listen through my PC.

yeh, i was think a little longer than a couple of years, it takes time...
a long time, i know people who have been listening to headphones for more than a decade and that have been clubbing for years and only just now seeing the effects. the point is its irreversable and you don't notice it until untill its too late because it is so gradual

My van has a sirius/cd/dvd/mp3 player. I do like the mp3 feature to my radio as I can put 100 songs on a cd instead of 20. My phone also plays mp3. I do not own a seperate device as I mainly listen to music in my van or at home. It would be a waste of money to me and would sit in a box next to the XM satellite unit I just had to buy 4 years ago and used for a month -
Yes, But to pervent hearing loss, take out the headphones for an ear break every 15 minutes. Also I turn the volume way down-
Same here. I don't kick the volume to max, especially if I'm listening to hardcore metallica or acid rock.

I have an iPod but I only wear it to and from class so no longer than 10 minutes at a time, and I don't listen to my music loudly. I don't really use it as much as I should, I use my car and my computer to listen to music most frequently. -

Is it impossible to believe that a 14-year old with advanced knowledge in computers exercises disciplinary counteractions to every objectionable action?
Don't think of me as a 10-year old fartboy. Age is my only limit, but I'm way more than that. Way more than what you think for underestimating me.
