Do you use pictures in your posts?

I am just curious how many of you use pictures in your posts?
With my latest post I tried an experiment of using a little text and more photos to tell a story. If you have a chance can you have a look and give a review:

I do only because I have some great pictures and being an artist I think it gives a sense of emotion to the post :o) -
i use ALOT of pics
makes posts less boring -
using pictures makes the reader be more atractive to the post, and pay more atention to it, nobody will stay are read a post if you have no pictures on it. -
Is there a point where it becomes a "photo-blog" or, are we all just trying to tell a story?

As my Blogs are 'product lead' a lot of the time, I have started using product pictures. I often wish I could draw better so I could knock out a quick sketch to give a humorous illustration.
Its very frustrating knowing what you want, being able to picture it in your minds eye but absolutely hopeless at actually producing it!! -
Yes, photos a good idea, including the rather ordinary ones you include. Makes it more "real" somehow.
I include some illustrations on my regular blog, but just to break up the visual monotony of pure text. Don't have a camera, so am somewhat limited in my options. -

I use pics all the time, but more to support the text. -

ghostytwofish, great theme/layout you have for your blog...and I am not one for darker colors on websites. -
Most photoblogs include text for description of the image etc... I always do! -
I do add photos or graphics once in awhile hoping it will grab a little bit more attention. i just make sure I dont go overboard with too many pics though! -

I do. But mine is a decorating and crafting blog. So it pretty much needs to be chock full o' photos! -
I do, too. Gives my blog a little splash of color -- makes some posts a little more interesting, too. -
i think pictures/photos give an interest to viewers in every blogs. Specially if u do hav videos. They will love to watch videos on each blogs. Visit mine and enjoy watching my sketch videos live! :-)

I think it depends on the blog, some blogs will go well with a lot of pictures while others won't pass so well... Anyways, if a picture is used to illustrate what you post about it only makes sense using it - if not and it doen't add anything to what you write then maybe it shouldn't be there. -

Yes, I like to add photos/pics to my posts... I feel they add another perspective and also compliment the writing. Mine is a travel blog and the photos/video clips are a good way of portraying the places that I have visited.

it's depend on what article I wrote, you can check on toysfinder.blogspot.com , it has lot of pictures because it will help me to give a clear explanation. the other blog moneybloghome.blogspot.com didn't use many pictures cause it's all about articles of how we could make cash online. If I put picture it would probably make a distractions to readers which is a disadvantages for me. -
Yes, my blog is about NYC street ephemera - flyers, stickers, graffiti and such - so I need pictures. -

I don't think I have ever posted without a least one photo. -
I try to use pictures as often as possible and I just picked up a wacom pen to draw on some of the images. I'm not good enough with the wacom yet to start drawing my own illustrations or diagrams but that's my intention. -
I have alot of pictures in my blog posts on my blog www.techpressnewswire.info
i host them on Photobucket.com so it doesn't use up my bandwidth. -

I want to add pictures to my blog, but I usually just talk about websites. Do you think I should put screen shots on my entries?-
I think screenshots would be a great way to add visual interest to what you're talking about, it would help make a connection.
I am definitely more apt to spend more time on a blog that uses visual aid than to read a text-heavy entry.

One thing to consider with your photos: apparently some people hotlink to the things. If you want to prevent that, I have seen other threads here on the issue, which looked interesting, even if I did not understand the technical details.

Tropical, I liked the way you used the photos to tell your story in that particular post. Good job.
I began illustrating most of my posts this past January -- sometimes with photos, sometimes with an icon-y illustration, or with the logo of the company or agency I'm writing about. I think it makes the overall appearance more appealing -- and as someone above said, breaks up the monotony of text-only.
I also started embedding videos here and there -- not too many -- but maybe once or twice a month.
Feedback I get from my readers indicates they like the illustrations and the videos. -

For your kind of subject matter, I think videos -- at least occasionally -- would fit in quite nicely and enhance the overall message.

I always use a photo in my blog posts. My blog started more as a photo blog but I am changing it around a little. Just be careful in posting too many pics at once because it can make your page too slow to open for some browsers. -
Only when it has to do with the content.
I'm looking at adding pictures more often. Numbers of visitors went up when I started including photos on one of my web pages - and the photo gallery is a perennial favorite, so maybe we should be doing more picture posts. -

Nearly every post. Besides, they are a great tool for your blog getting traffic from "Google Image Search."
