Actually, I did not mean traffic exchanges, I meant traffic exchange sites that send traffic to your blog.

      They send traffic for credits.

      I will not exchange link.

    Hello,

Yes, my own traffic sharing program at:

    matthiaschronicles.tanaya.net/AFTR/

Its simple, free, and no gimmicks. It isn't a credit based system and I publish the members list openly, so there's no questions about the type of content. You can see everything before joining. Feel free to take a look.

MarMatthias I joined up at your site.
Looks pretty promising. Put the widget on the upper right.
Is this where it should be?
While glancing over the content I noticed a typo
or a common mistake some writers make.
I think you mean "than" not "then" in this sentence.
I have received more traffic then I would receive in a month from the typical social networking places...

Thank you. I sent you a message. As to my typos, that's about right for me...

I have no restrictions on widget placement... I try to stay realistic and practical.

Do you use Traffic Exchange Website?

No. I value only organic traffic. I don't desire a flood of "hits" that create a high bounce rate and don't translate into readers and subscribers.

Do I do individual link exchanges with bloggers who have related blogs?

By and large my answer is "no". I have make a few exceptions for individual bloggers only, but given the Google algorithm and the determination of PageRank it' obvious that doing so is not beneficial. In fact, keeping a blogroll at all is rapidly becoming passe'. What really counts is non-reciprocal one way backlinks from authoritative sites. Therefore, that's what I'm focused on.

Passive exchanges, like AFTR, work the same way as there is no incentive to click. Its a good way to draw traffic without the negative flood of "junk visitors".

Traffic exchanges are a waste of time. If someone is looking at your site only so you'll look at theirs, then they aren't actually interested in your content.

Nope. No point in going after traffic exchange traffic when you can get search engine traffic

I tried a few then when my traffic didn't increase but by a few hundred a month I stopped using them. Too much time and energy wasted clicking and viewing websites that were of no interest to me. I have found that posting in forums that are in my niche and using my signature gets more visitors than exchange sites.
