I recently purchased my name as domain name (www.lenablonsky.com) and since I already have my site at www.interiordesigners.gr I just set it to divert to the latter. Now, if I advertise my site as being www.lenablonsky.com my readers cannot read the proper url if they want to bookmark a particular page (i've set it to masked). Do you think this will effect my readersship? I would love to hear your opinion in order to make any necessary corrections now. many thanks

I'm not an expert at these sort of things, but I think having a domain name that best describes your business is better to use, especially for people searching for what you offer. I wouldn't change it.

They are two different worlds in my viewpoint ..

interiordesignERS..... implies a group effort or a site with lots of interior design people.

lenablonsky...... implies it's all about you (singular)

BTW - just browsing your site I see a lot of stuff copied over from your SoChic site into this site... and creating duplicate content already. Maybe instead of masking domains or creating aliases it's just better to have one domain - and either use 301's to redirect - or, use the Lena Blonsky as your "network and resume" site .. just giving heads up on what you're doing, posts you're making around the 'net, etc etc. - So, if you were to meet a potential client, or your Auntie Jackie, or your long-lost school buddy and gave them a business card that said ..

    LenaBlonsky.com

    It would be sufficient.

thanks to both for your replies...@PetLvr-I am actually selling So Chic Interiors so that's the reason for moving some of my posts over. You're right about the interiordesignERS point. I have fretted over it quite a bit myself but the singular was already taken so the next best thing was this. Anyhow, I am now coming to realize that in the long run it's better to get known by my own name - tags etc with interior design related words will get visitors to my site anyway (i think). So I went and bought my domain name. I'm a little reluctant to give up the interiordesigners.gr domain name though because I have had a foreign publication find me through this name and I was featured in a an episode of "Big City Life" on French tv! So keeping both might be a good idea?

In this type of field, I would stick to promoting yourself and your own domain name./
