I don't think that adsense is worth it. It just makes your blog look cluttered with ads, which is why my blog has no adsense on it.

For a two month old blog, that is pretty good!
The better your content the more you draw the readers who get interested in the better adsense ads that you get from your better content!

lol, oh, I am not an expert, this has been a learning experience for me. I am still not making much!

I have adsense. It's ok. My blog only has one small widget. I've made a few bucks, nothing to get excited about, but better than 0.
  4. blogmyblogger
i don't think so because it needs a lame user to click on the ads to gain revenue from adsense. it's vain. and i believe massive traffic doesn't increase your adsense revenue.

My adsense i climbing day by day, And its good!

We tried adsense for a little bit but I think you have to have a very large amount of traffic for it to give you substantial money. We were going to leave it up there anyway because I figured it couldn't hurt but they advertised something trashy that I didn't agree with and I thought, screw it, and removed the widget.

I think this thread is related to the one you posted previously. I'm posting a link so others can cross reference to it. That way they can post more ideas for making money for you, other than through adsense, into the thread www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/is-there-an-alternative-to-adsense

Adsense is so widely used that many visitors are aware of and most likely dont even look at the ads these days! you could still try out different positioning of the ads, color themes and so on. If you want some alternatives, read this article:

if your visiter-counter not shows 4digit, adsense is "a waste of time"...

Thanks to bilirkishi and I agree with you. You also give me idea for next topic for my blog

I thought about adsense, but I think it clutters the blogs...some blogs I have looked at with a ton of ads are a turn off...

go to my site www.thecomingdepression.blogspot.com and you will notice words are highlighted. Click through them, I use infolinks

Nope, Adsense sucks and PPC in general sucks. I make 100x more using affiliate marketing: Clickbooth is probably the best affiliate company i've used to date. seotips4.com/seoblog/t379/

After 3 years of advertising on several websites, I've finally earned the minimum 100 dollars, and I instantly took the ads down. My best performing site had no real content on it, but really good key words. (Pen pals site I thought I wanted to make, but lost interest.) So people came in looking for pen pals and having found none, clicked on to related sites. The click through rate was almost 50%. Tells you how much you should aim for good content, doesn't it?

interesting, I made $50 my first month and have tailed off and only made $15 so far this month, but it hasn't been horrible!

I made #3.69 today. Made $19.04 this month and will surpass last month 'sales' of $19.24 by the end of the month.

Yes, adsense does work for me as the results are getting better every month. Hopefully, it will reach $100 a month soon.

Good for you. I took out adsense and other ad networks from one of my blogs. I had some dollar earnings with adsense but these are really small. Perhaps it has something to do with my traffic. Most of them are ad-blind.
    1. Sebastyne
I'm Google ad blind. I really pay 0 attention to them - or just enough to run my eyes around them. But those adverts on Facebook, with a photo and text, I've noticed I at least read them often.

only one thing i can say is careful for the one factor called, smart pricing @googleadsense, when this strikes you, you will start from the scratch, believe me,i've been through, and i did what i have to do, so now for the newbies, always see that your content is rich and enough, don't ever think that having 1000's of blog will increase your earning, that's one way of inviting smart pricing lolz. once you fell through smart pricing, you will start earning 0.01 lolz, and its a known fact.

so watch out for SMART PRICING, forget about getting ban, unless you do some stupid things.
why its called adsense, because it make sense, so figure out this one liner of mine
  22. blackzero85
I never used adsense nor did anything related to blog monetizing.

In August I made $200 on Adsense. July I made $150. I changed up my advertising style and made only $69 in Sept. I think my change up is working for me this month. I changed to Adsense text links, that way it will blend in with my blog. So far, so good.

I just reached $100 for the month for the first time as of today. I just got up to every other month breaking $100 not too long ago, but finally did it in a single month. I'm happy with that, for now.

Since adsense somehow changed the ads so that do not match my blog I have went from $9 a day to $1. Anyone know how to get the right ads displayed??

Someone else is asking for help with the same things and is receiving it in this thread www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/adsense-changed-my-adsanyone-have-any-ide...

      ur efforts are appreciated !

I hardly make any money from Adsense. I wish I knew how to generate more income. As it is, I make more from having my blog content syndicated to big sites. But I get very few readers coming onto my site after reading my posts, even though there are always at least two links. Anybody know how to do this right?
  28. loverofjazz
i tried it for a little while but eventually gave it the boot.
if there was more control over what gets put up, i wouldn't necessarily mind, but some of the stuff... yikes.
  29. ModelElaine
I took adsense down once but I didn't like the look of my blog without it, so I put it back. I don't want people to click on it, because when they click, they leave, but they click anyway, which really pisses me off because the money is nothing so I would rather they not click on it. I keep it because it looks like it belongs there, without adsense my blog looks naked

i thing that interest me on adsense is the contextual ad. it makes a site feel more unique and informative. all my sites do have it and i enjoyed it. though i do raise some little bucks from it but yet what interest me is the uniqueness it gave to my sites
    1. bladeaxe4
      yes, too true
  31. fated82
I made a cool $50 this month on adsense. I thought I would surpass last month's sales by just a bit (maybe $20 odds) but it went twice better than I thought.

Hopefully it will be better next month.
