I have a question.Does anybody here believe that America will be destroyed.I was watching a video about the predictions of Nostradamus and he shows a man with a turban on his head pointing nuclear missiles at America and firing them off.It was not a pretty sight. It showed New York being destroyed. He predicted that it would occur in 1999.I keep thinking of the leader of Iran building nuclear weapons. It makes me wonder.Nostramus kept referring the leader as the Prince of Persia. The video was from 1982.

Of course not. That's completely ludicrous. Just because somebody makes a video doesn't mean it has anything to do with reality. Even if Iran gets nuclear weapons, its leaders know that a nuclear attack on the U.S. would be suicide.

And, by the way, 1999 was ten years ago. There was no nuclear attack on New York by anybody wearing a turban.

    I don't think so.

No. They don't even have ICBM's yet and it's not the way they operate anyways. Worse that could happen is they decide to sell a couple to a terrorist organization, who then carries out some dirty work for them.

yes, unfortunately. However I haven't seen the video. But Japan will disappear first followed by the region of Florida and regions of the South East. And much of Northern Europe will disappear, as will Britain. Also much of the Northern Indian region will move and the Yogi's will head to the south. New regions will appear in the Pacific and Mickey Mouse will reincarnate in a Space suit.

This is all crazy talk. A man with a turban will nuke the US??? U got to take into consideration of how the producers translated nostradamoses words. A nuke, did he even know about nukes back then??? And a turban, does it all suit the time where muslim terrorists were making a name for themselves. This is all crazy talk. A nuclear war would mark the end of civilization, cse if one is set of, am sure others will be set off also. So i doubt this scenario happening. A national disaster could be possible. I saw on discovery channel once, that a huge mountain on an island near africa i believe, will someday slide down in the sea, and will from a huge wage cse of the water that was displaced. This wave will head towards the coast of america and wipe out a city or two. But i think thts unlikely also.

It was a mistake to ever allow the Arabs to develop turban capabilities they should be made to comply with the S.A.L.T. agreement Strategic And Longrange Turban missiles.

LOL... no way jose. If Iran decided to try that, they would be obliterated off the face of the planet, and probably not just by America.

Any government or group could injure one to many Americans or attack American interests abroad or places in the territory of America. Actual destruction of a country is very different.

Can you think of an example of an entire country being physically destroyed? Doesn't something survive? (Now if the US and Russia hit each other with all of their nukes that destruction might come close to being possible, at least making what was left over contaminated and unlivable and possibly causing global nuclear winter, but whatever nuclear capability Iran could be capable of would have no comparison.)

And if your (probable) meaning is to destroy by "taking over," a lot of country take overs that have taken place are only temporary. Russia used to run Czechoslovakia; England ran India; Japan ran much of China; the USA ran Japan and the Philipines (without long-term designs on them). If you want to learn about long-term, probably irreversible takeovers, talk to a Native American.

Iran has a big problem, despite the general problems associated with "destroying" another country. Their real problem is with certain American ideas, not just with American policies (some of which Americans question, too). It's hard for wars to destroy ideas. (There are still a few secessionists in the US, despite the waging of our Civil War.) Some of the "American" ideas the current Iranian administration would like to destroy are actually held by Iranians who want more political and social freedom in their country. Note their still disputed last election. Even if Iran did make a bloody attack of some kind on America or Americans, that doesn't mean that they can permanently suppress their own people...meaning that something partly American might still overthrow the current Iranian ruling class.

Also, any kind of direct attack on America by the nation of Iran would probably lead to American policies shifting in ways that Iran would like much less than what they currently protest, so it could be very counter productive. However, threats of war with other countries are a tried and true method of duping people into supporting ruthless governments. A lot of damage can be done to poor people on either side by the hawkish rhetoric of leaders trying to cling to power.

Well I think they would destroy Isreal before the US. If that happened we already know who they would be coming after next so we could cut them off at the pass.

To me Iran just looks like a country proud of itself. The reason for their recent test of advanced missiles is
    - a political stunt to regain support and confidence of the masses after the controversial elections
    - to show the people that they have the guts to "defy" US

Coming to think of it, countries may be going nuclear just the defy USA. No one likes to be told the terms by anyone. And by their patronizing other countries US politicians - maybe they want to prove their own ass-ertiveness ?
And when they threaten to defy US, what happens? They become the squeaky wheel and get rewarded

So much for being the masters of the universe

It was called "The Man who saw tomorrow".It was hosted by Orson Wells back in 1983.I made a mistake. He predicted the rise of Hitler back in the 1930's and Napoleon Bonaparte back in the 18th Century. He did predict an earthquake back in 1988 in New York,I don't remember that happening back in 1988,I do remember the earthquake in California in 1989.
