I started a blog for my short stories
I'm slowly getting into writing fiction. Horror, Sci-Fi,etc. Anyone else have a blog like this?

Just last night, I just published a short story on my blog about a southern farmer trying to evict a dragon from his barn. I mostly put poetry on there, but every once in a while, a short story comes out.

Yes. I have comical story posts on my blog. My blog is really kind of split. Half of it covers me trying to build a rock home - the other half of the site has all sorts of funny stories. I put an index on the about page (I think.) Glad to hear you have these too.

I do have a blog for a tale I've been spinning. I haven't added to it in a while but it may be worth a read. I don't like dropping links but you should be able to find it on my profile.

Majik, you may want to add a Blog Archive in your side bar. You do your stories in parts and as you get new readers, like me, we have to keep hitting the "older posts" button until we finally find part one of that story. Looks good

Sort of, sometimes. That was the idea with which I started my blog, but then I always end up posting haikus and tankas Short is good.

I believe haikus and tankas to be stories. A poem of any sort can have a plot or character and even when they do not, they are true stories of emotion.

I'm in the middle of an English Literature/Language course at the moment - once I have my final grade I'll be able to post my stories up - before that though posting them up might complicate matters with the whole problem of students getting their material from the net - they might think I cheated.

My second blog is a long novel, but each of the passages can be used as its own story. It's just starting right now, so the historical stuff hasn't really come in to play yet, but it's Christian fiction written in imitation of the First and Second Kings, NKJV translation:

I only wrote poetry so far...I don't think I am too good with short-stories but maybe I'll try my hand at it in the future;)

Try making a story out of one of your poems. Start with the feeling your poem gives you then picture a place that feeling takes you too. Theres your begining to your first short story.

I write tales that are a mix of memoir and fiction on my humor blog, and every now and then I'll do a complete fiction piece.

I keep these really short-- blog post sized.

Anything in terms of more lengthy short story fiction, I usually try to get published somewhere.

Thrift, I read your easy bake story. Great story. Reminded me of mey sister when we were young. She finally got it though, I think the third Christmas of asking for one. She set it all up and cooked her first cake. When it was done, she took a big ole bite, grimaced and spit it out exclaiming it taste like poo!. My dad, the ever so quick one, replied back with why does she know what poo taste like? LOL

So maybe my tale would have taken a quite different and somewhat surprising turn if I'd actually gotten one...

I'm sorry for your sister's unfortunate flavor experience.

See, sometimes it IS better to give than recieve.

I include some short stories on my blog and publish others in other on-line mags. I am working on a book of essays, right now. I might publish it or offer it as an e-book.

Pinkmonkeychatter, everything you write is great, short story or just how your week went.
